If you are receiving this email then you have registered for GTE 32 Neptune’s Adventure, you have signed up to serve on the support crew, or you have another role with GTE 32. On behalf of the Pax of F3 Hampton Roads, we are honored to host GTE 32. We look forward to experiencing Neptune’s Adventure with our F3 brothers from other regions.

Attached is the preblast which provides the schedule, times, locations, packing list, and PT test. For the King Builder workout Saturday morning on the beach at 36th Street, there is metered parking on the street as well as nearby parking decks and lots. Regarding the PT Test, I was able to obtain a qualifying score and I’m 59 and slow. I do recommend trying the PT test at least once before GTE 32.

For those experiencing your first GTE, be sure to pack all items from the “required gear” list to avoid any consequences resulting from not having the required gear for the ruck.

Special thanks to Average Joe, the GTE 32 Q for F3 Hampton Roads for organizing Neptune’s Adventure. He’s put a lot of time and effort into preparing for GTE 32. Thanks to everyone else who has had a role with setting up GTE 32.

The lead cadre is Major Payne. The other GTE 32 cadres are Flight Nurse, Akron, and Full House. Beauty and Tommy Boy are the trainers and will lead the Rally, King Builder, and GrowSchool. Parts of GTE 32 will be shown live on Facebook Live on the F3 Nation page.

For Pax from other regions, if any Pax are traveling with you who are not participating in the ruck, we do have opportunities for volunteers.

On a personal note, participating in the Richmond 2019 GrowRuck five months after open heart surgery was a life changing event for me as it showed me that my heart was capable of allowing me to test the limits physically and mentally. The whole time during the GrowRuck my F3 brothers made sure I was doing okay, they “had my back”. As Nantan of F3 Hampton Roads I was hoping we would be selected to host a GTE so that we could share our beautiful region with our F3 brothers and get under the log again. Needless to say I was thrilled when the 2022 GTE schedule was announced last year. A few months later Campbell University announced that their homecoming weekend was being held the same weekend as GTE 32. My daughter is a senior at CU and a proud Fighting Camel. This past spring our family was extremely honored to be selected as the Campbell Family of the Year which includes several events for us to attend during homecoming weekend. As such, I will not be able to participate in GTE 32. I will enjoy the time with my M and daughter while thinking about my F3 brothers as they experience Neptune's Adventure. I will be proudly watching the Facebook Live updates.

If anyone will be in Hampton Roads Thursday October 6 I will be available to get together for dinner or a refreshment.

Two weeks away. If you haven’t started working on the required packing list now is the time. They will check all backpacks and there will be penalties if you don’t have the required items. You can pretty much count on getting in water sometime during the ruck. There are over 40 Pax registered for GTE32.

GTE 32 Training: Average Joe, Batman, and Funny Car along with two ruckers from Coastal VA Ruck Club rucked ten miles from Nike Park in Carrollton to Windsor Castle Park and back. The ruck started around 6:15pm on Sunday July 24. Including ruck plates, water, and other items everyone carried between 45 to 50 pounds. We encountered a storm around mile two followed by a double rainbow. We were hoping to have more Pax particapte in the ruck. The next GTE 32 training event is Sunday August 14 at the Jordan Bridge 8pm-11am. Check the events calendar on the F3 Hampton Roads website for more details. GTE Training, First Landing Park today, Sunday June 26. Meet at back parking lot of the shopping center 2817 Shore Drive VB_corner of N. Great Neck & Shore Drive. Look up the packing list and plan accordingly. Due to the heat Plan on having minimum of 5L of water and electrolytes. We will be rucking min 8 miles with coupons.
