As we close the book on an unforgettable 12U Blue Raiders year, it’s hard to put into words just how special this group has been.
These boys didn’t just win games—they grew as teammates, competitors, and young men. They battled through adversity, celebrated each other’s successes, picked one another up after tough losses, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

While the trophies are exciting, they’re only part of the story. This team represented the HCYP Raiders organization with heart, hustle, sportsmanship, and resilience everywhere they played—from local tournaments to the biggest stage in youth baseball at Cooperstown.
A huge thank you to our incredible coaches for the countless hours you poured into these players, to the families who filled the stands, traveled thousands of miles, and cheered through every inning, and most importantly—to these amazing players for giving us a year we’ll never forget.
Thank you to all who supported our journey to Cooperstown this year! You should be proud of the work they did and we owe it all to you!
The wins, the home runs,the road trips, the friendships, and the memories… this team was something truly special.

Many times this week we were reminded that it’s more than baseball.
We met a player who was a guest player on another team. He didn’t know any of his teammates before arriving at Cooperstown, and unfortunately, he was having a tough week trying to fit in. His mom shared that he had been feeling left out and bullied.
She mentioned how badly he had hoped to get one of our Garfield pins—the “holy grail” of pin trading this week—but hadn’t been able to find one.
Without hesitation, our boys made a decision.
They gave him one of our rare Garfield pins.
It wasn’t because they had extras. It wasn’t because they expected anything in return. They simply wanted to make another kid smile and make sure something good happened to him during his Cooperstown experience.
His mom was beyond touched by this gesture and shared a video of her son receiving the pin. The player also sent our team a special ‘thank you’ message… 🥹
Home runs and wins will always create great memories. But moments like this? These are the ones that last a lifetime.
So proud of this group of young men for showing kindness, empathy, and character when no one asked them to. They proved that the best thing you can wear isn’t a baseball uniform—it’s a compassionate heart.
This week was bigger than baseball. 💙⚾

What a ride. 💙⚾
The Raiders’ incredible Cooperstown run came to an end today with a heartbreaking 1-run loss in the Elite 8, but what these boys accomplished is something to be incredibly proud of.
Home Runs from Brendan (2), Broden, and Nathan J
From Opening Ceremonies to an unforgettable tournament run, they competed with heart, grit, and resilience every single game. They represented our community, their families, and each other with class, and they left everything they had on the field.
Only 8 teams remained out of 104—and the Raiders were one of them. That’s an achievement they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.
To our players: hold your heads high. You gave us memories we’ll never forget, friendships that will last a lifetime, and a week that reminded us why we love this game.
We’re so proud of every single one of you.
