If the scale is the only place you look for progress, you will miss half the reasons your work matters.
Progress can look like carrying groceries without multiple trips (IYKYK), getting off the floor without help, sleeping better, adding weight to a lift or walking into a room that once intimidated you.
It can look like recovering faster, keeping a promise to yourself or realizing your body is capable of doing something you never expected.
Body-composition goals can matter. But they should not erase every other sign that your health, confidence and quality of life are changing, and for the better.
Pay attention to the whole person you’re becoming, not just some arbitrary number on a scale.
