💪 Our cadets rolled up their sleeves for this month’s Adopt-a-Highway cleanup! Each class tackled sections of Highway 55 and the areas around our school, making Pamlico a little brighter and cleaner. 🌿 Together, they collected 12 bags of trash—way to go, cadets!

JROTC Champions Once Again!!
Over 700 schools sent their best runners, only 46 advanced to the National platform.
Going head to head with the best in the nation.
Of those 46, your very own PCHS JROTC Orienteering Team placed 13th overall.
Most schools represented were over 6 times our size. These cadets showed heart and determination. We could not be more proud. We had 4 cadets place in the top 25 in the nation.
Lila Mehring - 15th Varsity
Brian Brothers - 24th Varsity
Brooklyn Franklin - 15th JV
Krista Ballance - 19th JV

Thank you everyone for your support and especially to Stonewall Methodist Church

Day one is complete. Day two is where focus and consistency really pay off. If they keep trusting their training—reading the terrain carefully, pacing themselves, and staying calm when the course gets tricky—we have a great shot at finishing strong.
Good luck to the whole team today! We hope the second day brings some clean runs and maybe even a climb in the standings. 📍🏃♂️

Tomorrow is Day 1 of the NJROTC National Orienteering Championship. Forty-six teams and more than 500 runners from across the country will put their skills to the test in a competition that demands speed, endurance, and precise navigation.
This morning our cadets walked a practice course and conducted a detailed map study. The terrain is new for our team, but they absolutely crushed it. Their preparation, focus, and confidence are showing.
At the start of the year, our goal was a Top 10 finish at Nationals. These cadets continue to exceed every expectation, and they’re ready to compete.
We are Pamlico Strong!!

Yesterday our Orienteering Team left for the
2026 NJROTC Orienteering National Championship in Gainesville, Florida.
This marks two years in a row that our school is Nationally recognized on this platform.
We are extremely proud of all the hard work, long hours, and dedication they have each poured into preparing for this.
Today the Cadets toured Jacksonville University Aviation Complex, Nursing Stem Program and the JU NROTC Unit.
They enjoyed some bowling after!
