Court players hit the sand… and let’s just say it was a whole new game 😅🏐

Thank you to Oour Coastal Director & 757 Beach Director, Matt McLaren, as he led a free beach clinic —these kids showed up ready to learn, compete, and have some fun.

From adjusting to the sand to picking up new skills, this group brought the energy and left with a whole new appreciation for the beach game ☀️

We love giving players the chance to try something new and grow their game in different ways 💙

Serving Their Future means creating opportunities that last.

As we close out our video series and prepare to celebrate tonight, Matt McLaren, Director of Coastal and 757 Beach Club, shares what drives him — creating opportunities for athletes that didn’t always exist before.

Over the past six years, he’s seen TVA grow not just in numbers, but in culture, passion, and purpose. From indoor to beach, from youth to adult, TVA continues to expand opportunities and build something we’re all proud to be part of.

Tonight, we celebrate 60 years of that growth — the leaders who came before us, the community we’ve built, and the future we’re continuing to shape together.

Here’s to the first sixty… and to sixty more. 💙🏐

Serving Their Future means building a place that feels like home.

As we count down to our 60th Anniversary Celebration, we’re featuring stories from our current staff — the people helping lead TVA into the next chapter.

Today, Tony Dunbar, Special Events & Sponsorship Coordinator and Boys 15 National Coach for Coastal, shares what TVA has meant to him over the past few years: community, mentorship, and a true sense of family.

He describes TVA as a little like “Cheers” — a place where everyone knows each other, where league nights, beach programs, and open gyms bring people together, and where connection matters just as much as competition.

🎥 Watch Tony’s story and see why TVA continues to be a place athletes — and adults — want to be.

Here’s to the next 60 years. 💙🏐

Serving Their Future means showing up when it matters most.

As we lead up to our 60th Anniversary Celebration this week, we’re sharing stories from former and current leaders who have helped shape TVA’s journey and impact.

In this edition of our Serve Their Future series, Anna Moreno-Allison, former TVA leader, reflects on joining the organization just days before the 2020 shutdown — and how TVA worked to safely create a lifeline for athletes during a time of uncertainty.
From parking lot practices to creative ways of reconnecting kids with the game, TVA remained focused on one thing: giving athletes a place to play, grow, and belong.

🎥 Watch Anna’s story and see how commitment to community continues to define TVA’s mission.
Join us as we celebrate 60 years of volleyball, connection, and community. 💙🏐

💙 Serving Their Future means honoring the leaders who paved the way.

TVA’s story is built on the dedication of individuals who stepped up, broke barriers, and helped grow the game for everyone.

As part of our Serve Their Future video series, Beverly Nuckles, TVA’s first Executive Director and a longtime coach and tournament director, reflects on the early days of indoor and beach volleyball — and the lifelong friendships formed along the way.

Her message is simple: when you’re part of TVA, you’re part of a community that stays with you.

🎥 Watch Beverly’s story and see how connection, leadership, and a love for the sport continue to shape generations of athletes.

Serving Their Future means carrying the baton forward.

TVA’s growth didn’t happen overnight — it happened because leaders stepped in, believed in the mission, and ran with it.

As part of our Serve Their Future video series, Mike Vanderslice, former Board Member and Executive Director, reflects on a pivotal time in TVA’s history — helping grow adult leagues to over 140 teams per season, launching more than 20 junior teams, and strengthening the foundation that continues to support our athletes today.

Take a moment to watch Mike’s story and hear how community, leadership, and a love for volleyball helped shape TVA’s journey.

🎉 And don’t forget — we’d love for you to celebrate with us!
Join us at TVA’s 60th Anniversary Celebration as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to what’s next.

Serving Their Future means discovering passions that last a lifetime.
For many, TVA is where a love for volleyball begins — and where meaningful connections grow far beyond the court.
As part of our Serve Their Future video series, Bill Riley shares how discovering volleyball as an adult led to decades of playing, coaching, refereeing, and giving back to the TVA community.

🎥 Take a moment to watch Bill’s story and hear how TVA continues to give back to the people who give so much to it. 💙🏐
