Join visiting Kundalini teacher Jai Gopal for an evening designed to support breakthrough, clarity, and alignment around personal goals and dreams.
According to current planetary influences, this Friday offers especially supportive energy for intention, expansion, and forward movement. Through Kundalini Yoga, deep meditation, relaxation practices, and the transformative sound current of the gong, we’ll work with this energetic window to magnify breakthrough potential and connect with what wants to emerge through mid-June.
Expect meditation, stillness, sound and space to reconnect with your vision.
No Kundalini experience required. Come as you are.

"I don't have time for yoga..."
We hear this one a lot.
And honestly? Most people don't suddenly find extra time for yoga.
Life doesn't magically slow down.
Usually people come because stress, tension, poor sleep, pain, or overwhelm finally ask for something different.
Your nervous system belongs on your schedule too. Not when life settles down. Not someday.
Maybe now is the thyme. 🌿

In our yoga teacher training, we spend a lot of time talking about dual action in a pose. One thing reaching one way, another reaching the other. Opposing forces creating strength, stability, and something deeper than either action could create alone.
I love that concept because it’s not just yoga. It’s life.
Life is nervousness and excitement living side by side. It’s loving someone deeply and feeling frustrated beyond words. It's enjoying your work fully and not wanting to get out of bed. It’s grief and relief. Loss and gratitude. Joy and sorrow sharing space together.
Memorial Day feels like dual action.
A day to remember and mourn. A day families gather and grills fire up (although Mother Nature clearly had other plans for us today). A quiet pause and the unofficial beginning of summer.
As a small business owner, I resisted running a Memorial Day special. It didn’t feel aligned to ask for attention on a day meant to honor those who gave everything.
You know we’re here. Classes. Workshops. Private sessions. Space to breathe. Space to reconnect. Here when you need us, for all the dual actions.
I hope you had a moment today to remember. Sit with discomfort if it comes. Hold space for someone else’s grief if not your own.
And also allow joy. Because both can belong, in the same day, and even the same breath.
Be well, friends.

There’s something really special about a teacher’s very first class.
The nerves. The heart. The courage it takes to step to the front of the room and share something meaningful. And the passion it requires! ✨
Over the next three weeks, our Yoga Teacher Training graduates will be leading their practicum classes at Shine Yoga and we’d love for you to come support them.
These classes are open to the community and offered on a pay-what-you-can basis because this experience is about more than yoga poses. It’s about growth, confidence, community, and learning to trust your voice. They've worked hard and they all have special gifts to offer.
Whether you’re a longtime student, brand new to yoga, or simply curious, your presence matters more than you know.
Come breathe with them, encourage them with your presence and participation.

This past week felt full of quiet yeses.
On Friday, I attended a women’s business brunch where we were asked to write down a yes-or-no question. The kind of question that asks you to get honest with yourself.
Later, I pulled a card that said:
“YES — and it’s about to get even better.”
And honestly… it felt less like prediction and more like confirmation. Not confirmation like life suddenly gets easy overnight. But confirmation that growth is already happening beneath the surface.
This birthday and New Moon in Ta**us have felt unexpectedly meaningful for me, and maybe it’s the season I’m in. Maybe it’s finally understanding that the strongest growth is usually slow, rooted, intentional, and sustainable.
Lately I’ve been feeling called to expand my coaching work in a deeper way. To create more spaces for honest conversation, nervous system healing, movement, connection, communication, and becoming more fully yourself.
Not bigger JUST to be bigger. And besides, bigger isn’t necessarily better! More aligned. More impactful. More authentically me.
And one thing I’m especially grateful for right now is being in rooms with women who challenge each other to think bigger while still staying grounded and genuinely supportive and straight up human. Megan has such a gift for creating that kind of space and connection.
Anyway… if you’ve been feeling a quiet inner yes lately too, I hope you listen to it. If you need a place to reconnect with yourself for a minute or to reconnect with others… come take a class. Come breathe and move and laugh and play and grow and heal with us. ✨

When I first imagined Shine Yoga, I didn’t just picture a room where people stretched.
I pictured a place where families could breathe again.
A place where overwhelmed women could come home to themselves for a little while… so they could return home with a fuller heart, a calmer nervous system, and a little more capacity to love the people around them well.
Because the truth is, so many women are carrying everyone.
The schedules and the emotions.
The unseen and occasionally unappreciated labor.
The responsibility to hold it all together.
And somewhere along the way, they stop filling their own cup.
This season feels especially tender to me.
Mother’s Day just passed.
My birthday is tomorrow.
My daughter is about to graduate high school… and yoga teacher training.
Watching her become part of this journey beside me has been one of the greatest honors of my life. There’s something deeply emotional about witnessing your child step into adulthood while also standing beside you in something that has helped shape your own healing and purpose.
It's my hope that’s what this Ta**us season and new moon is inviting us all into:
Slow down enough to notice what truly matters.
Create and live in safety and steadiness.
Create connection, not perfection or performance.
Just presence. This moment is all their is.
So today, on International Family Day, I’m feeling grateful for this community and for every person who has walked through our doors looking for peace, healing, connection, strength, or simply a place to exhale.
Sometimes taking care of yourself really is an act of caring for your family too. I hope you'll consider yoga on the road to love on you! 🤍
After YTT tonight, I stood outside for a minute longer than usual.
The studio was glowing. The night air was soft. Everything felt quiet and full at the same time.
There’s a strange kind of nostalgia that happens when you know something important is ending soon.
Just over a month left with this teacher training group.
And I already know this season will stay with me.

Maybe Mother’s Day came and went and you forgot to do something special?
Maybe not for her... but for yourself.
I talk to so many people who tell me they want to get back on their mat... when things calm down and work slows down... when the kids need less time and attention... when life isn't "life-ing" so fast and it feels less full.
But what if yoga isn’t another thing to accomplish?
What if yoga is the thing that helps you breathe through the life you already have?
No one here at Shine is interested in perfection. We are interested in helping people reconnect with themselves in real, sustainable ways. Sometimes that looks like a strong flow and sometimes it’s lying on a mat breathing for an hour, so your nervous system can finally feel safe enough to exhale.
It's not an entire life overhaul. It's one small moment that belongs to you again.
Let that start this week.
No pressure. No perfect attendance award.
Just a space to come back to yourself.
