Falls happen and bones 🦴 break. Your best defense against both falls and broken bones is, resistance training!
The only form of exercise that can help with bone strength!
Everyone should work with weights 2-3x/week.
If you’re new, start slow but you must increase the weights you’re using over time
Work all movement patterns
INCREASE YOUR WEIGHTS OVER TIME!
*Bones only increase in density as muscles grow stronger. Once you can complete 12 hard repetitions with a weight, increase the weight or resistance. If you can only do 7-8 repetitions, that is ok! Heavier weights have shown to have the most positive effect on bone density!

This is a good thing. Type 2 diabetes will cease to exist if everyone follows the guidelines. It’s not as sexy as “take this drug” but it’s side effect free and will work.
