The first Saturday Sweat in the month of June was a hot one, and we aren’t just talking about the temps!
Today’s bootcamp brought the heat with two special guests joining the crew, plenty of laughs, and enough sweat to prove everyone put in the work. From the first moment of the workout to the last, the energy was high, the effort was real, and the spirit was unmatched. We love watching everyone challenge themselves while having fun along the way. That’s what Saturday Sweat is all about!

The hottest club in town isn’t downtown—it’s right here at Unify, and it’s the 30 Club!
A huge congratulations to Teri for officially joining the 30 Club by completing ten perfect chest press reps using 30 lb dumbbells!
One of the most rewarding parts of strength training is seeing what your body is capable of when you keep showing up. Increasing your weights, getting stronger, and accomplishing things that once felt out of reach is an incredible feeling. What used to be challenging becomes your new normal, and that’s where real progress happens.

Add this to your summer schedule: a new class added that will include calorie burning heart pumping fun….a great way to add an extra workout to burn calories through the summer!
Coached by Melissa, this class will feature a different theme each week ranging from boxing to fit fighters, kettlebells, bodyweight, core, and fun games.

What exactly is HYROX? HYROX is a fitness racing competition designed to test both endurance and functional strength. Every athlete completes the same format:

▪️Burpee Broad Jumps

▪️100 Wall Balls
That’s a total of 8 kilometers of running combined with 8 demanding workout stations all under the hot sun on Pier 76.

Congratulations to trainer Lauren on completing the Dash for Donuts 5K today!
This event helps support police training, public safety programs, and the Chesapeake Police Department. We’re proud to recognize Lauren’s participation in a race that promotes both fitness and community involvement, and also want to shoutout member Jeff for completing the 5k, too.

A new member has joined Unify’s 30 Club! Way to go Jill!

Challenge the trainer in a ladder style row/push up combo for bragging right? Mark said sign me up and took on Derek for this epic post workout upper body burnout.
The weights started at 25 and ended at 50 with each set of dumbbells requiring a push up and a single arm row.
While it was a close battle, Mark took the victory. Perhaps a rematch is in Derek’s future?
Clients, be on high alert. Your trainer may try to sneak this in to finish off your arms. You’ve been warned!
