Chic's Beach Fishing and Rental

Got out yesterday for our first combo Flounder/Cobia trip. Had a good Flounder bite on the Flood at the High Rise then picked up 2 Cobia at Latimer on the Ebb. Not sure how good the bite was since both were keepers so we stopped to go look for Spanish & Blues.

Tough day fishing for us yesterday at the 3rd and 4th. Barely got enough for Stoneys to make us some Tog Bites for lunch afterwards.

Got our 2nd trip in between the windy days on Friday with the awesome Kim family from NY. Neither the parents or the girls have ever fished before so might as well introduce them to fishing with the most frustrating fish in the Bay to get on the hook! But the girls prevailed pretty good, hooking around 10 or so fish amongst the constant bait stealing. Plus they were a joy to have on the boat!

I have Charters tomorrow & Saturday but happy to take on walk-ons on any other fishable days.

Tog season has officially started! We had good luck today in the pilings so didn’t get to try the tubes yet.

Tog Tog Tog.....soon.....hopefully in a couple of weeks.

In the mean time the road trips continue. Last week we had a great time at the CCA NoVa Chapter annual fundraiser. I contribute to these guys every year because of the great work they do for the Bay. I know many of you do too because I see you there every year!

This weekend I'll have a booth at the Leonardtown Fairgrounds for the annual Southern Maryland Fishing Fair. Hope to see a few of you there!

Had a great time with the folks at the CCA SoMD fundraiser Saturday night! This group does great work for the Bay and many of our out-of-town guests and friends come from these fishermen and women. On the way home I stopped at my favorite BBQ & Beer place along the route. My Godbrother hooked me up years ago and I highly recommend it to anybody headed this way.

My Wife requested some mediterranean Tog this weekend, so, Friday is looking good for a Walk-on trip, 8:30 departure, $150.

Was able to take advantage of the weather Friday and Saturday to take out some great folks from MD. Fished the back half of the Ebb both days in the Pilings, did not try the Tube. Ended up with 13 Keepers and over 30 Taggers. Oh, and a ton of Seabass so take plenty of Bait!

The Sea Bass were snapping yesterday! Even when there was no room left in their bellies. We decided to try a bunch of different pilings yesterday between the 2nd and 3rd instead of just fishing the tubes. There were Togs there but seemed like a lot more Sea Bass in the deeper water. Went thru a lot of bait to get our Togs. Kept a few for myself and Stoneys cooked up a nice dinner for me and my wife and the bartenders

It’s Tog season! Finally got out today, have a trip tomorrow and hoping to fish whenever the weather cooperates. Let me know if you wanna go.
