I have 3 important lessons to discuss.

1.) Don’t listen to anyone who tells you that you can’t maintain a high standard for how you look, feel, and perform as you get older. I’m 38 and wish I was at this level at 28 or even 18.

2.) Shorts are supposed to be short. If at any point the bottom of your shorts are closer to your knees than your hips, stop, you’re doing too much.

3.) Sun > Sunblock but, you will occasionally face the consequences if you live by this mantra.

Sorinex Summer Strong wrapped up a week ago, and it’s still stuck in my head.

In our world, Summer Strong is THE room. Getting a mic there isn’t a speaking slot; it’s a statement. You’re standing shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the people who actually move the needle in strength and performance, and being counted among them is something I don’t take lightly.

As a Dietitian, I’ve never wanted to be another soft, “all-foods-fit”, feelings‑first voice. This industry does not need more coddling. It needs honesty. It needs people willing to say that “normal” is broken and that our job is to build something better.

I’m here to push optimization, not help people settle into a lower standard.

Sorinex Summer Strong gave me the space to say that out loud.
