Scam alert!

⚠️ Scam Alert for the Oklahoma Judo Community ⚠️

This morning I received a fraudulent email that appears to come from Ron Tripp, Chair of USA Judo, asking me to send money via Venmo, Apple Pay, Zelle, or Cash App for an “urgent payment.”

This is a scam.

Please be aware that emails like this are designed to impersonate trusted individuals in order to trick recipients into sending money. If you receive a message like this:

❌ Do not reply.
❌ Do not send any money.
❌ Do not click any links or provide personal information.

Instead, report it as phishing/spam and delete the message.

I’m sharing this in case other members of the Oklahoma Judo Association—or the broader judo community—receive the same email.
