BANANAGRAM: We, The VBTPA, just want to make it official and announce that, unfortunately, we will not be having the 2020 Banana Open Tournaments this year :( We are looking ahead to 2021 and hope it will be a GREAT year for Tennis and the Tournaments🎾🍌

The 2020 - 🎾41st Annual Banana Open Tournaments🎾 are scheduled for: 🍌Singles - June 26-28; Men's & Women's Doubles - 🍌July 17-91; and 🍌Mixed Doubles - July 31 - August 2!

BANANAGRAM: A BIG SHOUTOUT to a few of our Banana Open Tournament Players who took the road trip to compete in the 2019 Banana Open Challenge @ Jekyll Island Tennis Center, Jekyll Island, Georgia, October 3-6, 2019 🙌 🎾Alex McVicker (VA Beach 3.5W Singles Winner) and along Marie Wekszner, her doubles partner (VA Beach 3.5W Doubles Winners), and David & Jimmy Pabon (VA Beach 4.5 Men's Winners). Alex competed both in Singles and Doubles @ the Challenge!

CONGRATULATIONS to Alexandra McVicker 3.5W Singles Finalist🥈 @ 2019 Banana Open Challenge!! WTG Alex!! 👏 We would say, Alex had a GREAT Banana Tournament Year 🍌😆 and 🥇 Player of BO Open Year!!!

BANANAGRAM: We had 5 Bakers to participate in the Banana Bread Bake Off on Saturday, August 10th, during the Banana Open Doubles Tournament!. The Players were the judges and I do believe they had a ball doing so.😆 They got to taste an assortment of different Banana Breads and all were yummy😋 The Breads were numbered from 1-5. For those who participated as judges, they do/will remember what number they liked and picked. Many loved #2 which came in a close 2nd. However, #5 was the Winner!!!

CONGRATULATIONS 🙌 to Baker, Sandy Claxton's, "Banana Nut Bread With a Twist", was crowned the🏆 BEST BANANA BREAD EVER🏆!!!! Sandy will receive a Gift Bag with lots of awesome goodies, she will love!!! 🤗

BANANAGRAM! Banana Open Mixed Doubles weekend was one for the books. Great weekend and everyone had a great time. The rain stayed away, the Banana Daiquiris were delicious and Banana Pancakes were oh so yummy!! Awesome FUN weekend had by all!. 🤗
