We have a couple of wonderful events that will coincide with the Virginia Beach Air Show. First - On Saturday, September 19 at 1pm we will stage our 3rd Annual Classic Racquet Tennis Tournament - where you will be issued a racquet from yesteryear and a random partner. This will be followed by a cookout as we enjoy our 50 yard line seats for many Blue Angels flyovers. Then - On Sunday, September 20 at noon - Get set for 3 hours of Open Play Pickleball, followed by ice cream and more Blue Angels flyovers!

What a fantastic August Edition of our monthly Random Doubles Partner Pickleball Tournament we had this past Saturday. Jenn and Alex played their way to the top of the Advanced Division - while Elizabeth and Ruth took top honors in the Intermediate Division. But our very own Ellen, nicknamed "Crash", was the amazing story. Three short months ago, after a horrific accident overseas, she was fighting for her life, thousands of miles away from home. Crash roared back with her partner, Derreck, to nearly take the Intermediate title. In fact, they had Championship point on their paddle! Stories like this are what make pickleball great - and Cape Henry Racquet Club is an oh so special place to learn, play, and have fun. Our next Random Doubles Partner Pickleball tourney is Saturday, September 26 - and he sincerely hope that you will be on court with us.

OK, Jensen Brooksby may not be the highest ranked player in tennis, BUT...He's far and away the best-dressed player on the ATP Tour, meaning that many top ATP players dress like they're signing out a court at the public park, complete with Converse Chuck Taylor high tops, a warped wooden racquet and an ancient can of flat, white tennis balls. Thank you, Jensen - for raising the class level of professional tennis.

We hope that you can join us this coming Saturday (August 29) for a morning of competitive fun and friendship. The forecast call for showers in the morning with temperature about 78 degrees - but hey - we're indoors, so come one, come all!
