July 4th was just too darn hot to hold our Firecracker Family Random Doubles Tennis Tourney at Cape Henry Racquet Club. Now, this coming Saturday looks pretty darn good. We hope to see you/your family on court for this fun, fun, fun tournament! No membership or registration is required. Just show up before 9am this coming Saturday morning!

It's PICKLEBALL PLANNING WEEK here at The Cape in Virginia Beach. In our Tuesday Night Clinic (Tonight @ 6:30), Thursday Night Learning Open Play (Thur 7pm) and Sunday Morning Clinic (Sunday 11:30am) we're invoking the age old axiom of "Fail to plan - plan to fail". How many of you simply hit and hope during a match? Come on, you know that happens to you a lot. We're going to teach you to instantly formulate a match plan that will advantage you and your partner - and instantly change the plan time and time again, should it become necessary. We're....."planning" (see what we did there?) to see you on court at The Cape this week.

We still have a few spots left in our July and August Kids Tennis Camps. We'd love to have your future tennis champion with us.

Because of the various Excessive Heat Warnings we are RESCHEDULING our SATURDAY, JULY 4 FIRECRACKER RANDOM DOUBLES TENNIS TOURNAMENT to the following SATURDAY, JULY 11. We just can't put anyone into a dangerous situation due to the expected brutal heat an humidity. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to see you at 9am on Saturday, July 11.

Due to severe storm activity, there will be no Quick Start or Pickleball Clinic this evening (Tuesday) at The Cape. Sorry, but Mother Nature rules.
