Beach District Wrestling

Well,surgery number 6 and getting a pain pump installed and waiting for the OR to call me back. Surgeries are starting to be a normal for me. I have a new device to start to help me walk called HKFO's and it feels like a hard football practice on up/downs or two a days in wrestling just only walking 20 feet. Will update you when I'm done from surgery.

Well, after surgery number 3 that was on Monday and now with too many more to go. I had a tube inverted into my core to help me do something's that makes it easier than where it was originally. Everytime I went somewhere I keep getting it caught and being paralyzed from the waste down. I would never feel it or notice that I was hurting myself without me knowing about it. It really found out that life is too great to look down and figure there's no meaning. It took a lot of time to finally realize that life has meaning no matter what form or shape your in. I really miss the days of officiating because of seeing the intensity of these coaches and parents then are different than just watching them from the head table or the scorers table. I wish I was still officiating wrestling, because THAT was my life. We run a bunch now and help a whole lot of others,because it's hard to stay away from your passion. Back to my health issues. On June 25th, I go in for my pain and medication pump installed in my back.( Like I need to mess with that anymore)I had a set of HKAFO braces made and waiting for them to arrive so I can start more out patient therapy with stand up walking devices and with my left side not able to use due to my Psoas muscle, it was damaged during all of the infection that I went through for over 6 1/2 months .So with my left side like a noodle( no function or control) the left side device is spring loaded and it's supposed to kick my left leg forward after I start to learn how to walk with these devices. We are going to start to strengthen my right leg more now so I will hopefully be able to use a walker by next year. These devices if your not familiar with them are the ones that Forest Gump kicked off in the first part of the movie with Jennie, except mine is Darlene.This will be definitely fun and praying there's a lot of crash pads or helmet and elbow pad to stop my fall. Lol. Have to have some humor in it. With my boys carting me up and down my stairs since October 29th 2023. They have been a great help. Darlene on the other hand has been a godsend to me. I get frustrated and don't like thing how they go on and I can't run the place like I use to. She tries so hard and puts up with so much stuff that I even tried to give her a way out and told her that this isn't the life I planned for or promised her. She's so stubborn that she's still here doing everything that she can and I owe her my life and sanity for how much she does that I really never noticed and I wouldn't trade her in for the world. I wanted to let you know an update on things and most of all. I LOVE YOU Darlene. Thank you and I can't say anything else to show my appreciation except when I get back walking. We WILL be doing a lot of different things that we have pushed off for years. I love you all and will see you soon.

WOW!! With the overwhelming entry for the 2024 Virginia Duals Rookie Invitational and 2024 Virginia Duals Kids Nationals are closed. We hit maximum capacity. If you registered and haven’t paid. You will need to pay immediately. If your in the middle school division:ONLY MIDDLE SCHOOL you will get 1 lb allowance. The middle school times will be 1,1,1 like the rest of the rookie divisions. (Only the rookie division )You will need to be ready to weigh in your singlet there will be no changing rooms or bathrooms to use to do this. Parents : you must control your child while weigh ins are going on. Too much horseplay got someone hurt last year. The weigh ins are at the Embassy Suites from 3-6 pm.
