Jim passed away at 2:55 pm Mountain Time today. I was right beside him with my head on his chest and in the crook of his arm. It was a peaceful transition from this mortal life to the next realm.
He was well loved and respected by many. Over the years he taught many people Tai Chi, Karate, Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and various other subjects.
He loved to fish, enjoy nature, study science & politics, and dance. He was a good conversationalist on a number of subjects.
I will miss him dearly, but will be ok until we meet again.

Meditation practices are important to everyone.
This is how you would do a breathing meditation. 

here's a fun little meditation practice from the great tradition of Dao...from my forthcoming book, Returning To The Source...enjoy!

Tiger/Dragon Breathing

• Here’s another way to do a breathing meditation. Here we are using the powerful images and energetics of the Tiger and the Dragon.

• Sit, stand, or lie down as before, paying close attention to the in-coming and out-going of your breath. Keep your breathing as slow and deep as you can, while still breathing comfortably.

• As you inhale, breathe in the energy of the Tiger, as the Root of the Earth. Think of the solidity and strength of the Tiger.

• Remember, in the Five Transformation Phases system, the Tiger represents the direction of West, the element Gold, the Color White and the lungs, our main organs or respiration. It also represents the quality of courage.

• Then, when you exhale, breath out the energy of the Dragon, the Root of Heaven as well as the openness and fluidity of the Dragon.

• See the Dragon as a Green Dragon, which represents the directing of the East, the element Wood, the direction of the sunrise, new directions or new possibilities.

• Now just put your attention to your inhales and exhales.

• Inhale: think of the strength and solidity of the Tiger.

• Exhale: think of the openness and fluidity of the Dragon.

After a while, just say to yourself, Tiger on inhale and Dragon on exhale. Spend some time just breathing in the image and energy of Tiger and of Dragon.

• After doing it this way for a time, change the inhalation to Dragon and the exhalation to Tiger. This can help balance your being. Just breathe this wonderful energy of the Dragon and the Tiger into your being.

• You can think of Tiger as yang and the Dragon as yin.

• Before you begin the meditation, think to yourself, do I need more yang to balance my nature or do I need more yin?

• Whatever you decide upon (and it can change from time to time or from day to day), spend some time just inhaling Tiger and exhaling Tiger or inhaling Dragon and exhaling Dragon.

• Spend as much time as you can with this meditation, at lest ten to twenty minutes. You can, of course do it longer, if that is what your system needs.
