Sweet summertime is here, along with more time in and around the water. Swim lessons are crucial for year round water safety, especially in these warmer months. It’s vital to consistently work with a swim professional to encourage good habits and prevent bad habits with proper swim techniques and safe practices.

Let's clear something up: swim floaties and water wings are not life jackets. 🙅♀️
A properly fitted, Coast Guard-approved life jacket is the only device designed to keep a child's head above water — even if they're unconscious.
✅ Fits snugly (you shouldn't be able to pull it over their chin)
✅ Coast Guard-approved label
✅ Right size for their weight

Water Safety Tip: Always remove pool toys after swim time.
Toys left in or around the water can attract curious kids back to the pool when no one’s watching—creating a serious drowning risk. A quick cleanup helps prevent accidents and keeps your pool area safe.

As we honor the brave men and women who have served our country, let us also remember to stay safe while enjoying the water this weekend.
Memorial Day officially kicks off the summer season. Please practice responsible water safety habits such as wearing U.S Coast Guard approved life jackets whenever boating, on docks and in or around open water , never swimming alone, and designating an undistracted water watcher to supervise children at all times.
Remember to use the 5 Layers of Protection:
1. Barriers and alarms
2. Supervision
3. Water Competency
4. Life Jackets
5. Emergency Preparation
Let’s honor our heroes 🇺🇸 by making water safety a top priority.

May is National Water Safety Month. Water Safety Tip of the day: Remove pool toys after swimming. Toys can entice children to enter the pool unsupervised, increasing the risk of accidental falls and drowning.
In our swim lessons, we integrate water safety in every lesson, where children ask for permission before entering the water for pool toys. Swim lessons play a vital role in creating a safer environment with reinforcement of important water habits.
