Switching Gears Bicycle Shop We are a small, neighborhood bicycle shop specializing in beach cruisers, comfort bikes, & "adventure" bicycles by Sun, Jamis, Surly, & Salsa.

Sales (New & Used), Service, Rentals. Essential since 2016. Serving the northern Virginia Beach, Shore Drive-Great Neck areas & beyond with new & used bicycle sales, bike repairs & maintenance, accessories, and bike rentals. We are an authorized Salsa Cycles dealer, a Surly Bikes "Intergalactic" dealer, and carry Sun and Jamis Bikes as well.

I really got to know Matt in our Marine Science (EB-ology) class at FC & have been friends ever since. From Spring Breaks surfing in Frisco, to honeymoon snorkeling w/ sea turtles in Maui. Later Matt was customer # 001 on opening day at Switching Gears in 2016. A true supporter of the shop. Whenever he stopped by, a bad day became a good one, and a good day became much better. Thanks for being my friend for 40 years,
