My feed is constantly filled with videos of people saying they can't do certain things anymore like jump off a tail gate of a pickup in their 40s and even 30s.
It's about force and impact management. If you continually train strength and impact you can still do certain things. Your volume will likely decrease.
There are two things you need to still be doing to keep a strong resilient lower body
1. Load the lower body with heavy work
Squats
Deadlifts
Lunges
Step ups
2. Load the lower body with power
Sprints
Skips (big skips not frolicking skips)
Running spilt jumps
Depth jumps
3-5 sets, 5-12 reps and 7-8/10 effort
Be stronger 💪
Strength Play Nature
Offering opportunities rooted in movement that help people connect with self, others and nature.
Breaking in the new deck with a little dance party!
Life is heavy for sure. You can get crushed or you can get stronger. Choose strength.
Spending a year on the road at various@wwoofusa farms we learned everyone raised chickens differently. This was reassuring as we ordered our first set of chicks and contemplating what style of coop/tractor we wanted. When we saw this design and plan from we knew this would work for our needs.
Now it's on to a little mowing and setting up our electric fencing. We will be moving our chickens from their brooder set up in the next couple of weeks once they are fully feathered out.

When we settled on this land I knew not just any playground would do. I had settled on black locust but the design took some time and reflection. I have an affinity for Japanese culture and symbols. After learning about different nature kanji characters and their symbolism I settled on ishi (stone/rock). At first I felt this was somewhat ego driven because I go by Rock. However the more I lean towards animism and work with rocks as a strength tool I realized this had to be the design. If stone is where the earth's memories are kept then what better design to help facilitate movement. A container to help folks reclaim and rediscover the strength and power within themselves.
We look forward to moving and playing with you. Stay tuned and keep following along as we will be sharing different events and opportunities for folks to join!
