Hello, my name is Jade. I am a mother of two crazy boys and a certified personal trainer. I am dedicated to making each fitness journey a healthy and sustainable one! In my free time I like to hang out with my family, explore the mountains, and run!
In 2015 I did my first WNBF Bodybuilding Show. During competition prep I learned about macronutrients, how to gain muscle, and how to lose fat. I brought home some hardware and confidence that night! I continued training in the gym after my show but stopped all healthy eating habits. It didn't take me long to find out that you can't outtrain a bad diet. It wasn't until I had my first son in 2018 that I got serious about my nutrition and fitness again. This time I focused on creating sustainable healthy habits, moderation over restriction, and training balance. After meeting my personal goals I made it official and got certified so that I can help others along their health and fitness journey.

Cilantro jalapeño stir fry with quinoa.
-Broccoli or broccolini
For sauce and seasoning:
-Sesame seed oil
-Salt & pepper
*There are soy free options for teriyaki sauce that make this process much faster. I have used Kevin’s Paleo-Keto and Primal Kitchen.
For stir fry: start by cutting your veggies 1/2-1 inch in size, clean and trim broccoli, set aside. Cut jalapeño and cilantro as small as you can. Next heat 1 tbsp of olive or avocado oil in pan and sauté veggies (leave out cilantro and jalapeño, you can add the broccoli to mixture or steam separate). While veggies are cooking cut chicken in small pieces, when chicken is cut remove veggies from pan and cook chicken in the same pan. When chicken is no longer pink, drain excess water and add about 3 ounces of coconut aminos, a splash of rice vinegar, and a tbsp of sesame seed oil. Then season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
For quinoa: rinse 1/2 cup of quinoa with cool water in a strainer, put in sauce pan and add 1 cup water. Bring to a boil and cover pot completely. Let simmer for about 15 minutes. If quinoa still seems watery cook for an additional 2-5 minutes. When finished cooking let it sit in pan for 10 minutes the transfer to serving dish and mix in cilantro and 1 teaspoon sesame seed oil. You can season to taste with garlic powder and salt & pepper. Mix well and keep covered.
Last place all your items on a plate separately or layer on top of each other in a bowl and garnish with jalapeño, sesame seeds, and cilantro. You can also drizzle with additional coconut aminos or teriyaki.

Planks! A simple, yet effective exercise. How long can you hold a plank??
This sweet potato chip nachos was popular so we wanted to share the recipe with everyone!
What you need for nachos:
-Shredded cheese or crumbled cotija cheese (I did not use in this picture because I’m doing a dairy detox)
-Lime juice to taste
-Salt & pepper to taste
For nachos, slice sweet potatoes thin and round, spread on baking sheet (I like to use parchment paper) you can also season with some of the same seasoning as the meat. Bake for about 25 mins at 420 on top rack, flip halfway through. Ground turkey, heat pan with olive oil, cook meat till no longer pink. Season to taste with Cumin, Cayenne paper, chili powder, onion power, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Add a little water to mixture and stir. For black beans you can boil your own or cheat like me and use a can. Be sure to check the ingredients and try to find a can only beans, water, and basic seasoning. Chop onions and slice avocado. Then construct your nachos!
For salsa, peel off husk form tomatillos, place them in a sauce pan cover with water, bring them to a boil, then let simmer for 5 mins. Then place all other ingredients in blender, add tomatillos, and blend! Let cool and enjoy!
