Nearly 63 years ago, Albany Country Club’s new clubhouse hosted its very first event - the wedding reception of Mary Beth and Frank O’Brien. 💍

The clubhouse was formally opened on August 10, 1963, with a gala celebration featuring an elegant menu and a wonderful gathering of members. What a special glimpse into ACC history! ❤️

What a wonderful afternoon on the course! Twenty-five couples came out to compete in our Mr. & Mrs. Event, playing 18 holes of Modified Alternate Shot on a beautiful day at the Club.

🏆 Congratulations to Kevin & Baleigh Heelan, our 2026 champions! They posted an impressive Net 65 (-7) to take the win by two strokes over the next-best team.

🎾 A Great Labor Day Weekend on the Courts! ☀️

This weekend, we enjoyed our Labor Day Round-Robin, bringing together three courts of talented players for four exciting rounds of competition.

👏 Congratulations to Abigail Bailey, who came out on top with the most games won - 19 games!

This past weekend, we held the 9th Annual Scott Macomber Two-Man Tournament, honoring a beloved member of the Albany Country Club family.

Scott was a member since the late 1970s, passionate about golf and known for his incredible short game and “unique putter,” which still hangs in the Men’s Locker Room.

Despite being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2013, Scott continued to play whenever he could, culminating in an emotional 2016 Member-Guest victory just one year before his passing.

Established in his honor in 2017, the tournament continues to celebrate Scott’s memory and his love of the game. ⛳❤️

🏆 2026 Scott Macomber Two-Man Champions! 🏆

Today marked the final round of our 2026 Scott Macomber Two-Man, and going wire to wire, Andrew Ayala and Marco Minuto secured the victory! ⛳️👏

Over the course of the weekend, our players took on four different formats:
🏌️ 9 holes of Best Ball
🏌️ 9 holes of Pinehurst
🏌️ 9 holes of Scramble
🏌️ 9 holes of Alternate Shot

It was a fantastic weekend of competition, camaraderie, and plenty of great golf!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s Scott Macomber Two-Man such a success. We hope you all had as much fun as we did! 👏⛳️

⛳️ Labor Day Golf at Albany Country Club!

It was a fantastic day on the course as 14 ladies came out to compete in our Women’s Labor Day Event! After 18 holes, Sandy Steinhardt and Carrie Kot emerged victorious with an impressive Net 67 (-6), winning by three strokes! 👏🏆. Congratulations, ladies! 🎉

Meanwhile, the first round of the Scott Macomber Two-Man tournament was underway! Andrew Ayala and Marco Minuto surged to 6-under par after their first nine holes in Better Ball of the Pair, then followed it up with a 4-under in a tricky Pinehurst format. Their stellar play put them at the top of the leaderboard with a Net 62 (-10)! 🔥⛳️

Tomorrow, the competition continues with:

🏌️ 9 holes of Alternate Shot

⛳️ Friday Night Open Fun at Albany Country Club! 🎉

What a great night on the course! We kicked off the weekend with plenty of golf, laughs, and good times with some of our favorite ACC members. There’s nothing better than enjoying a beautiful summer evening with great friends and even better company! 💚

Thanks to everyone who came out and made Friday Night Open Fun such a fun way to start the weekend. We can’t wait to do it again! 🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️
