Cottonwood Creek Golf Course remains closed today as our team completes general maintenance following the recent winter storm.

We appreciate your patience as we work to get the course back in top shape and will keep you posted as soon as conditions allow us to reopen.

Cottonwood Creek Golf Course will be closed Saturday through Monday, due to this weekend’s winter storm and cold temperatures.

WEATHER UPDATE — Due to this weekend’s winter storm and cold temperatures, all parks and recreation facilities will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. This includes facilities such as community centers, Cottonwood Creek Golf Course and the Waco Mammoth National Monument.

Additionally, park restrooms will be closed and programs such as our youth basketball leagues and park ranger hikes are canceled.

What a weekend on the course! More than 70 golfers from across McLennan County teed it up in our annual Waco City Golf Championship, battling it out across multiple flights, including the coveted Championship Flight.

Waco's annual City Golf Championship returns to Cottonwood Creek Golf Course on August 16-17! Since 1930, this celebrated tournament has welcomed golfers of all levels with flighted divisions, plus a championship flight to determine Waco’s top golfer.

Entry is $175/player, and the deadline to register is August 13 by 6 p.m. Open to permanent residents of McLennan County, age 16 and older. To register, call (254) 745-6009 or visit the pro shop in person.

The Greater Waco Chamber's Big Cup Classic is in full swing.

This laid-back, scramble-style tournament features larger-than-life hole cups for players to sink birdies, drain more eagles and maybe even snag that elusive hole-in-one.
