I have been getting a lot of messages from people saying they are doing all the right things -- working out and eating well, but their weight went up overnight.
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Our bodies are smart. They know when something is "off" or something is different. Just because the number on the scale is up 2 pounds, does not mean you gained 2 pounds overnight. This is IMPOSSIBLE.

Losing weight does not have to be difficult!
Focus on the basics first --
1. Good, consistent sleep
2. Eating whole foods - fruits and veggies do not have to be boring.
3. Walk more! Park farther away at the grocery store. Get up and walk around at work.
4. Be consistent. One off day, one slice of cake will not ruin your progress. Consistency over perfection.

1. It’s ok to indulge sometimes! Food is not the enemy.
2. The best thing you can do - plan ahead! (Pack healthy snacks packed with protein)
3. Focus on your step count. Get up and move!
4. Relax! A couple days off your program will not ruin your progress.

Do you fight change or welcome it?
I’ve been fighting it; fighting it haaarrrd. I’ve tried ignoring it. I’ve tried pushing it to a place I don’t feel it.
I’d like to think I am adaptable, but recent weeks have proven I am not as welcome to change as I thought.
The silver lining - I am learning how to pivot, how to change my perspective and in time welcome the change.
Here’s to facing your fears while allowing yourself to feel the uncomfortable.
PS - this is not my uhaul. We started moving the parents this week! 😁
Where do you find clarity?
Is it at church? ⛪️
On a long drive? 🚘
Maybe in a safe spot in your home? 🏡
Perhaps the gym? 💪🏼
I do some of my best thinking running on an open, dirt road.
You can see for miles.
You can hear the steps you’re taking.
You can feel the wind, the sun.
Your only distraction is yourself and your thoughts.
I’ve been challenging myself and some of my clients this week to truly step back from life’s pressures and be still.
Be still with your thoughts.
Be still with your wants/dreams.
Be still with your pain.
Be still who you are and who you want to be.
