Congratulations to our 2026 Joe Alonzo Award Recipients.
The Joe Alonso award is awarded on behalf of all of the Major Division coaches and Lake Air Little League to one deserving player.
Joe Alonso was a long time participant and 3 Time All-Star here at Lake Air Little League. He attended Reicher and was a talented multiple sport athlete who passed away at the age of 15. In honor of the Alonzo family this award is given to honor Joe's spirit, athleticism, and good sportsmanship to one deserving player that does demonstrates strong character and is an example of how the game should be played.
This year on the girls side our recipient is
Aubree Marquez!
Aubree currently plays for Haus Realty and Coached by Ariel Munoz. Aubree is the daughter of Dena Marquez, Michael Gillman and Tiesha Hamilton. She has played many positions but primarily you will find her at short-stop but can play just about any position on the field. Aubree attends Carver Middle School and has perfect attendance this year as well as excels at Math. Her other sports and hobbies when she is not on the softball field include swimming, volleyball, watching scary movies, and learning to cook in her spare time.

This year on the boys side our recipient is Giovanni Perez!
Gio currently plays for JEM Construction and Coached by Edwinn Evans. Gio is the son of Rolando & Krystal Perez and April Aguilar. He has played many positions but primarily you will find him either short-stop, pitching or centerfield. Gio attends Atlas Academy, is an A honor roll student, is team captain of his football team 3 years in a row, as well has won a national championship in the Sumdog Math competition. His other hobbies include video games and just hanging out with his family and friends.
Gio, we congratulate you today for demonstrating great sportsmanship, character, athleticism, and most important being a great example on how the game should be played through throughout your career at Lake Air Little League!

Please be advised that parking in the Waco Masonic Parking Lot is currently prohibited. Any vehicles parked in this lot are in violation and may be subject to towing. Lake Air will not be held responsible for any vehicles that are towed. At this time, Lake Air is in the process of working toward an agreement with Waco Masonic regarding parking; however, no agreement is currently in place. In the meantime, Lake Air offers parking around the fields, as well as a designated overflow parking lot, which is clearly marked with signage.
