Dove Shoot Update :
We will be shooting Sat. 19 th .
Arrive at 6:45 am on field at 7.00.
It will be pick your own station, if you hunted with us opening day
the hunt is free. If you did hunt the dove opener then it’s $50
a spot. The top of field is for Walker Creek Volunteers and of coarse yours truly. But as most of you know the action tends to be mid field.

RABIES VACCINE AIRDROP: NEXT MONTH 🦝
The USDA will be airdropping 648,000 Oral Rabies Vaccines across parts of north Georgia in October. The graphic below shows the approximate drop zone and what the vaccines will look like. The vaccine pouches will be dropped via airplane and helicopter and are coated in a fishmeal attractant to get the attention of wildlife. Humans and pets should leave these alone as they are intended to slow the spread of rabies between wildlife.

❌ Dove Shoot Update !

After watching the field and not seeing any birds I have decided to move the hunt to the 19 th.
This will be the following weekend. Just do not want any of you wasting you time out in the heat without some birds to shoot at. Walker Creek Outdoors

If you hunted the opener at Walker Creek, we will be holding a second weekend shoot.
I will be going to work trying to bring the birds in for a Saturday morning shoot. It will be an arrive at 7 am and simply find a place on the field. We ask the no one hunts upper terrace do to issues with shooting back i’ve highway.
I will try to be the about 6:30 to greet everyone.

This is the location of the lower gate we use for hunt. “ Be Careful Pulling In “ there will be a caution cone in front of a deep drainage pipe. . Arrive by 6 am someone will be there at 6. If you arrive earlier please unchain gate ( not locked ) then drive straight in to parking area.

Everyone is asking about bird counts. This was taken after we we’re doing a little plowing this morning. This is about a third of what we were seeing at 9 am this video was slightly later. I have not began cutting millet yet. So who knows……I’m thinking they’ll hang around !
