As we head into Memorial Day weekend, let’s make water safety a priority both in and around the water ❤️💙

🇺🇸Always stay within arm’s reach of your child near water, and whenever possible, be IN the water with them
🇺🇸Assign a dedicated “Water Watcher” in 15-minute shifts anytime water is nearby — even if swimming isn’t planned. Their only job is watching the kids, not their phone
🇺🇸 Consider hiring a lifeguard if you’re hosting a party around a pool or open water
🇺🇸 Keep tables, chairs, and other furniture away from pool fences. Curious little ones can use them to climb over.
🇺🇸 Check pool fence latches and door locks leading to the water to make sure everything is secure
🇺🇸 Remove floats and toys from the pool after swimming so they don’t tempt little ones back toward the water
🇺🇸 Dress children in bright, easy-to-spot swimsuits at the pool, lake, or beach
🇺🇸 Use only U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets on open water NOT IN THE POOL.
🇺🇸 Share these reminders with family and friends , awareness saves lives

Most importantly, have a SAFE and happy holiday weekend!

70% of drownings happen when it’s non-swimming times. That’s why we practice in summer and winter clothes. We practice so much, that it becomes natural even in heavy clothes and saturated diapers.

Why ISR instead of traditional swim lessons 🫶🏼

As we head into busy ISR season, I want to help clear up a common question about the ISR registration fee 🤍

The ISR registration fee goes directly to Infant Swimming Resource, not to me as your instructor. This fee covers your child’s medical and developmental review by ISR’s team of nurses and professionals, helps ensure your child is safe to participate, and allows lessons to be tailored specifically to them.

It’s separate from lesson tuition and supports the safety structure behind ISR.

Because every child is unique, this step is incredibly important. It gives us the information we need before your little one ever gets in the water, so lessons can be both safe and effective from day one.

As schedules fill quickly this time of year, completing registration early helps avoid delays and keeps your start date on track. I’m always happy to help if you have questions along the way, I know the process can be new for many families! ☀️💦

We love when kiddos come in asking for “more, more” in week 5 🥳🙌

Storytime from a mama 🤍

Before I was an instructor… I was you.

I sat on the side of the pool with my baby in someone else’s hands.
I heard the cries.
I felt that lump in my throat.
I questioned if I was doing the right thing.

And I’ll be honest… those first week or two?
They’re not always easy. Your baby is learning something completely new.

But let me tell you what I saw on the other side of that…

Confidence.
Skills that could save their life.
JOY in the water.

Now Cohen loves the water. He doesn’t fear it, he understands it.

And as a mom, there is NOTHING that compares to that peace.

That’s why I do what I do.
Because I’ve been on your side of the fence.

I know what it feels like to hand your baby over.
I know how big that trust is.

And I don’t take that lightly, not for a second.

I love these kids like they’re my own. I take so much pride in caring for them, guiding them, and helping turn those first unsure moments into confidence and laughter.

There is nothing sweeter than watching a child go from hesitant…to volunteering to jump in on their own 🥹

This is more than swim lessons to me.
It’s life-saving. It’s purpose.

And I truly believe the Lord called me to this.
I’m just so thankful He allows me to be part of these babies’ stories 🤍

If you’re new here and feeling unsure…
I see you. I was you.

And I promise, it worth it.

Floaties, puddle jumpers, water wings, ANY flotation device can create a false sense of security. 🚨

When kids wear them, they often appear more capable than they really are. They can move freely, stay upright, and build confidence… but that confidence disappears the moment the device comes off.

This can lead to children:
• Entering the water without protection
• Thinking they can swim independently
• Panicking when they realize they can’t stay afloat

Real skills = True confidence. 🛟

There’s nothing like watching a kiddo master their skills in winter clothes!!!

Each child gets there in different time frames but this one was only 4 weeks and I’m so proud of him!
