Life is Better Behind Handlebars Our group is all about sharing time and experiences with others.

What started out as a place for a few close friends to hang out in my shop instead of in public at a bar has turned into a variety of "members" riding motorcycles and snowmobiles every Wednesday when possible. I am just the ringleader and planner that started this group. .:: JiM

07.08.26.... absolutely perfect night for riding. No wind. 75 degrees and broken clouds. Don and Loni, Doug and pat, Wayne and Lori, Jim and LouAnn. South to osakis through Amish country and one of our favorite stops. O'town bar and restaurant. On our way down I had to hit the brakes because a tractor was coming from our left and going to cross our road at full speed without stopping at the stop sign he had. Thankfully he did see us at the last second and didn't fly thru the stop sign like he would have if we werent there. Once at the restaurant, unfortunately they didn't have any of their homemade ham sickle wontons but we all did have their beer cheese and sausage soup.

All the rest of the food was amazing as well. Quite a few deer in the ditches and fields on the way home and I hit the brakes once as a couple ran across the road. Not that close. Also in one of the images below if you looks close there is a cow on the driveway close to the road. Scared the hell out of me but it turned out to be an Amish farm and they had it a chained up allowing it to eat the ditch but couldn't reach the road.

Great ride, food and peeps. Been too long.

06.21.26.... father's day. I started the day off with working until 5pm. Since we haven't been on the bike for a month, we made it a point to go today. 70 degrees and light wind. I planned on going to the melby outpost for their father's day specials. When we got there it was packed and only 2 wait staff for about 100 people. We waited 10 minutes and never got a menu or drinks so we got back on the bikes and went 9 more miles south to Evansville. I found somedays restaurant and bar. Great place. Lots of staff and the food took awhile because they were also busy but the food was fantastic. I had Alfredo and I have to say it was probably better than my own. Doug and pat shared the special ribs and broasted chicken platter. LouAnn had broiled shrimp. Everything was made from scratch including their salad dressings. I will for sure be going back. Great ride. Too bad everyone else was gone. Our group is getting small.

06.06.26.... two straight weeks of Wednesday rain outs. Dad and I broke the no ride streak tonight as bachelors with the wives out of town. We rode in 80 degrees and 5 mph winds. Not a ton of humidity either. The dragon flies have hatched however. We left around 6pm and rode to lake alexander. Anchor north restaurant got a new chef and holy s**t it was great. We both had the tres major steak with rosemary jus, poached potatoes and fabulous green beans. Beautiful night for a ride.
