Mit-ti-Quab Archers will be shutting down this page. We are now a part of the K**b Hill Sportsman's Club and any news or pictures will be posted on their site. Thanks for your past interest in Mit-ti-Quab and we hope you continue your interest through the K**b Hill site!

The Mit-ti-Quab Archers indoor league has ended. 3rd place went to the Hoops team of Jesse George, Brian Goodwater and Hunter George. 2nd place went to the Tony's Transfer team of Scott Werk, Matt Rousslang and Chad Wallgren. Finally, 1st place went to the Dewey's Taxidermy team of Tyler Butler, Ryan Schmitz and Braydn Hoffman. Some highlights of the 10-week league: both Jesse George and Kevin Kyar shot perfect 300 with 60x (can't get any better than that!). Joining the 300 club were Gail Kyar, and Tyler Butler. The 299 club included Brian Goodwater, Mike Flath and Katlyn Kyar, and the 298 club were Todd Miller and Steve Schmitz. Most Improved Youth was Carter Wilhelmi, gaining 92 points, and Most Improved Adult was Luke Wilhelmi with 82 points. A little trivia: 41 league shooters x 10 weeks x 70 arrows = 28, 700 arrows shot. 34 youth x 10 weeks x 70 arrows = 23,800 arrows shot. 35 non-league shooters x 10 weeks x 70 arrows = 24,500 arrow shot, for a grand total of 77,000 arrows. We may have to build new target butts for next year! There are tentative plans for an outdoor league. The distances would be from 10 to 60 yards shooting at animal targets. It would begin 6-9 weeks before the bow hunting season. As of January 1st, 2019, we are no longer a club. We are a division of the K**b Hill Sportman's Club, so just go to their website to get new of the Mit-ti-Quab Archers (our new name). You'll see how our new range looks now. Progress is moving right along. We held our indoor league in it this year and are also having our awards banquet pot luck style there also. Exciting year so far - we doubled the number of our league shooters.

Every Tuesday evening youth classes will be held from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the new archery range at the K**b Hill Sportsman's Club. It will run for 10 weeks minimum and cost $20. The pictures you see are of the first night (January 22nd). 24 youth signed up for lesssons - given by certified insturctors Kevin and Gail Kyar. Mit-ti-Quab Open House night 2019

Some of the old officers of the club met on Tuesday the 17th to go through the names that had signed up for league. We were amazed - 44 archers! We had a lot of fun setting up teams - 14 teams of 3, and for a short period we will take more. The time to sign up will soon close so we can start posting results. Come join the fun!!!

Membership drive Tuesday, Jan. 8th, 2019. It runs from 5-8 pm. Bring your bow, sign up for membership and league, and do a little shooting to give the new range a try!

Work continues on our new indoor archery range. It looks more and more like we will be in this facility at the beginning of 2019. It won't be fully completed, but will be heated, fully lighted and target butts in place. The range is an extension of the K**b Hill Sportsman's Club building, so for 2019 you will have to join the Sportsman's Club and will automatically become a member of the Mit-ti-Quab Archers (notice the name change from Mit-ti-Quab Archery Club. The only expense will be the fee to join the Indoor League. Keep checking for further news as things developew!

The bow-hunting season is right around the corner! A reminder that the club is sponsoring a Big Buck trophy again this year. You must be a club member before the season opens (Sept. 15th), notify a board member if you shoot a buck (in person, not a phone call), and shoot the deer in the state of MN. Happy hunting to all!
