When people think about athletic development, it’s easy to focus on speed, strength, or vertical jump.
Those things matter—but they aren’t where we start.
At StrongHer, we believe great athletes are built on a foundation of quality movement.
That means teaching athletes how to move with balance, coordination, control, and confidence before asking them to move faster or lift heavier.
When athletes develop those skills early, they’re better prepared to learn new movements, adapt to their sport, and continue progressing as they grow.
Every drill, every coaching cue, and every exercise has a purpose.
We’re not just training for the next season.
We’re helping athletes build movement skills that will benefit them for years to come.
💜 Parent Tip: Ask your athlete what they learned in training—not just what exercises they did. You’ll often discover the biggest lessons aren’t about the workout itself, but about how they moved.
Share this with another sports parent who believes long-term development is more important than quick results.

Most fitness programs focus on the next 12 weeks.
We’re focused on the next 30 years.
Strength helps support:
• muscle mass
• bone health
• independence
• confidence
Train for the life you want to live.
Not just the season you’re in.
Many women over 40 assume the answer is simple:
Eat less.
But if you’re constantly tired, struggling with recovery, and feeling stuck despite your efforts, under-fueling may be part of the problem.
Sometimes progress doesn’t come from eating less.
Sometimes it comes from fueling better.
In this week’s Re-Cal, we recalibrate what proper fueling should really look like after 40.

When life gets busy, it’s easy to think you need to overhaul everything to make progress.
The truth?
A handful of consistent habits will almost always have a bigger impact than chasing the latest trend or trying to be perfect.
Things like:
✔ Strength training
✔ Eating enough protein
✔ Prioritizing sleep
✔ Staying active throughout the day
These habits may not be flashy, but they’re the ones that help you feel stronger, healthier, and more energized over time.
In this week’s blog, we’re sharing the health habits that give you the biggest return on your time—so you can focus on what truly matters instead of feeling like you have to do it all.

“Keep the goal the goal.” 💚
When Dawne joined 2PiFit, she wasn’t looking for a quick fix.
She wanted to build muscle, improve her bone density, and stay healthy enough to enjoy golf and an active lifestyle for years to come.
After recovering from a spine injury and balancing a demanding career, she knew she needed more than another workout program. She needed expert coaching, accountability, and a plan built specifically for her.
Today, she’s stronger, more energized, and more confident in her overall health.
One of our favorite things she shared was this:
“I am proud of my progress and feel much more confident in my overall health and wellness.”
And the mindset that’s helped her stay consistent?
“Keep the goal the goal.”
If you’ve been putting your health on the back burner because life feels busy, remember this: taking care of yourself isn’t selfish—it’s what allows you to keep doing the things you love.
We’re so proud of you, Dawne! 💚
When people think about athletic performance, they often focus on speed, vertical jump, or agility.
But before we ask athletes to jump higher or move faster, we teach them how to land.
Why?
Because every jump ends with a landing.
Learning to land with good control helps athletes absorb force, maintain balance, and move more efficiently. Those movement skills become the foundation for running, cutting, jumping, and changing direction with confidence.
At StrongHer, we believe long-term athletic development starts with mastering the fundamentals—not skipping ahead to the flashy stuff.
Strong athletes don’t just move fast.
They move well first.
💜 Parent Tip: The next time you watch your athlete play, pay attention to how they land after a jump. Are they balanced and in control? It’s a simple thing to watch, but it tells you a lot about their movement quality.
Save this post for your athlete’s next season, and share it with another sports parent who wants to help their athlete build a strong foundation.
If you judge your workout by how sore you are the next day… this one’s for you.
Soreness is not a reliable measure of progress.
Progress after 40 looks like:
• Lifting heavier
• Moving better
• Recovering faster
• Having more energy
• Feeling stronger week to week
Constant soreness often signals poor recovery — not success.
In this week’s Re-Cal, we recalibrate what real progress should feel like.
Strong doesn’t mean wrecked.

When most people think about strength training, they think about building muscle or losing weight.
While those are great benefits, they’re only part of the story.
One of the most important reasons we encourage women over 40 to strength train is because it helps protect what matters most: your ability to stay active, capable, and independent as you age.
Strength training helps maintain bone density and preserve muscle, but the real benefit is what that allows you to do outside the gym.
It means feeling confident carrying groceries, hiking on vacation, getting up off the floor with ease, playing with your grandkids, and continuing to do the activities you love for years to come.
That’s why we believe strength training is about so much more than fitness.
It’s an investment in your future.
💜 This week’s action step: Put two strength-training sessions on your calendar. If you’re already lifting consistently, challenge yourself just a little more than last week. Progress doesn’t have to be dramatic—it just has to be consistent.
What’s one activity you want to keep doing for many years to come?
Save this post as a reminder that strength training is about much more than building muscle—and share it with someone who needs the reminder, too.

Many women have been taught that doing more is always better.
More workouts.
More cardio.
More sweat.
But that’s not how your body gets stronger.
Your body adapts and rebuilds during recovery. That’s when muscles repair, energy stores are replenished, and your body prepares for the next workout.
Recovery isn’t a sign that you’re falling behind—it’s part of moving forward.
If you’ve ever felt guilty for taking a rest day or wondered if you’re “doing enough,” this week’s blog is for you.
We break down why recovery matters, what it actually looks like, and how making room for recovery can help you feel stronger, perform better, and stay consistent over the long term.
Read the full blog and take a look at your schedule this week.
Have you planned time to recover as intentionally as you’ve planned your workouts?

Many women think their results are determined by what happens during their workout.
But your workouts are only one piece of the puzzle.
Your sleep.
Your stress.
Your recovery.
Your nutrition.
Your daily habits.
They all influence the results you’re working so hard for.
That’s why doing more isn’t always the answer.
Sometimes the biggest improvements happen when you start paying attention to everything outside the gym.
Strong, healthy women aren’t just training well.
