Madness Fastpitch is proud to announce our official partnership with Akron University Athletics! 🦘🥎

This is a huge step forward for our program and, more importantly, for our athletes. Through this partnership, our players will gain access to incredible opportunities—including the chance to work directly with Akron’s athletes and experience even more amazing benefits.

We’re excited to introduce the outstanding coaching staff leading our 10U Madness Fastpitch team!

Head Coach: Crystal Robinson
Coach Crystal is passionate about creating a positive, energetic environment where young athletes can build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and grow their love for the game. She is committed to helping every player improve while emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship, and having fun.

Assistant Coach: Eric Shaffer
Coach Eric brings decades of playing and coaching experience to the Madness family.

⚾ Playing Career
• Multi-sport athlete at Akron Garfield High School
• Left-handed pitcher at Youngstown State University (2002–2006)
• Professional pitcher for the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League (2006–2007)

⚾ Coaching Experience
• Assistant Coach / JV Head Coach – Norton High School
• Assistant Coach (Pitching) – Revere High School
• Over 8 years coaching Wadsworth youth and travel baseball

Coach Ed is committed to building a team-first culture while helping every athlete grow both on and off the field. His focus is on fundamentals, confidence, and creating an environment where players can develop a true love for the game.

Jayden is graduate of Mogadore High School and former Finesse Myers player, Jayden brings recent playing experience and a passion for giving back to the game. She’s excited to help develop the next generation of ballplayers by sharing her knowledge, encouraging hard work, and inspiring young athletes to reach their full potential.

A current University of Mount Union softball player, Coach Beas brings valuable collegiate playing experience, high-level knowledge of the game, and an incredible passion for mentoring young athletes. She understands what it takes to compete at the next level and is excited to help our players continue their development.

A special congratulations goes out to our 10U Madness team on an outstanding tournament, finishing as Finalists! 🏆 Your effort, teamwork, and never-give-up attitude were on full display all weekend. We’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and worked so hard for!
