Halalu and akule been running all over the islands. Been an unreal summer for fishing! Blocks available on website are the colors I been using. I pretty much make extra of whatever I use and make available for you folks on website. I can cut 50 akule full length 3 inch strips not your standard 2.5 in blocks. Or cut in half and make 100 strips for halalu for 4.00$! Pick um up while you can because I’m about to put down my akule rod and pick up the moi rod! I’ll be Restocking my personal moi colors before season this week.

Made several colors to try on the flats in December and sent it out to some of the boys to try. 6 months of feedback been really good so I made two of the three colors available online. “Andes” is a chocolate brown body that morphs to light greenish blue in sun. Second one the “Shrimpy”. Grayish green body with some black and light blue flake. Mahalo to the anglers R&D the baits and giving feedback appreciate it! Wife’s first day post season opening. 3 moi, 1 white papio and rubbah hook 2 good ones in morning. Scream reel and hook pops. Thats fishing. Seems like they weren’t too picky. Bit a assortment of Small grubs. Leilehua, clear red and gold and strawberry cream got the bites.

Tackle tip. We Supplied rigging springs with the packs of oamas online and at stores recently. Pics show rigging spring installed. BKN size 14-16 Hook snelled with 25-30lb leader coming out from inside of hook. Hook from under chin through spring eye and out top of nose. This ensures bait rides true belly down. Spring provides most action from bait being hooked at tip of nose and durability cast after cast bait won’t rip. Possibly catching multiple fish off one bait. Hope this helps you folks catch more fish! 🤙🏽
