Everyday I am in awe of how grateful I am for my home..
The little things like smelling the baked goods ooze from my oven.
To the large wood block counter top where I spread my wings (things) and fly around
The kitchen like a witch, concocting what ever pleases my heart in that moment.
Adding a bit of this and a bit of that..
I don’t let the smallest bit of gratitude slip by me..
From the warmth of our king size bed, to the moments where its just me and my plants— watering, noticing and examining their tiny, yet, profound existence in my life.
From peeling orange peel, to juicing it, and having my clothes burst with citrus from
Emersing myself in the loads of seasonal fruit my hubby brings home from being in the trees all day..
Home, a place where inspiration is birthed, where the surrounding environment comes to be transformed into nourishment and beauty—a place I feel safe, grounded + healed.
A dear friend Pam, once told me that home is the foundation + spring board from which creativity, inspiration, healing can happen.
And by golly, I agree. I now understand what she means. Every moment in my home, is a deepening into myself, my creativity and my source of inspiration.
This quarantine has bought me home, home to myself, by body, my healing. After what seems like a decade of searching, stretching, learning, uncertainty followed by climbing to the vision I hold right now..
Home, with the love of my life, on an island that feels like heaven on earth, surrounded by a community of women who truly see + support each other.
Not, do I ever, for a minute, let a moment slip by where the gratitude for what I have land so sweetly on my heart..
For it has taken me years to get here.. to manifest this home, and a place where I am birthed new over and over again... swipe to see 👉🏻
