Happy Birthday Coach Brandon!

On Saturday May 16th Defensive Edge held our memorial kickathon and sparring exhibition in memory of Kru Chris Taylor.

We would like to thank everyone for the phenomenal showing of support this event received. Students and non students came in to kick and support our exhibition Thai matches.

In total, we raised over $5,000+ for Chris’s Daughter. Thank you to each and everyone of you that donated and showed at the event . Whether to kick, watch or to be apart of the community your support is truly appreciated. Chris would have loved this event 💙

A Big Congratulations to Tristan who competed in grappling industries this past weekend placing second in both Gi and NoGi! Great Work sir!

In observation of Memorial Day, Defensive Edge Martial Arts will be closed Friday the 22nd-Monday the 25th. We will reopen Tuesday the 26th.

This past weekend, competed at IBJJF Boston Spring Open! Everyone did a phenomenal job. From youth to adults, from this being somes first tournament to others with experience competing, you represented the team well and we cannot be more proud of you! Remeber! Stepping on to competition mats is more than the average person will ever do. Whether it did or didn’t go you way be proud of yourself.

We are begging to line up where will be competing as a team next! Talk to your instructor for more details!

Congratulations to George! Receving our 2026 Boxer of the year award! George was unable to make the banquet and was presented his award in class last night by coach !

This Friday is the last day to sign up for the IBJJF BOSTON OPEN! If you were thinking of competing now is the time to sign up! *there is an school approval process— best to start the sign up today then waiting till Friday unless you are already registered with IBJJF
