Hey everyone! With yesterday marking 4 years since our former commissioner’s passing, we can think of no better way to honor him than to release the 4th Annual Kevin Ivy McLeod Tournament details! It will take place on Saturday, September 26th with a CO-ED twist this year- 3 girls required in the field, 4 recommended for your roster. In keeping with Kevin’s charitable spirit, we’ll be donating the proceeds to Tom Tracy this year. He’s a local man in the fight of his life right now, so anything we can do to ease him and his family’s stress as he’s going through brain cancer is tremendously important. Getting 8 teams (especially with 6 in already) to play softball should be an easy and fun way for us to make a difference! All details are listed in the flyer here- but if you have any specific questions, please send us a message or reach out to any of our board members (Ryan, Evan, and Rob)!

Hey guys, some important season updates!!!

- Opening Day will now be May 3rd as we have not received confirmation from the town we can use the field yet.
- IF we receive confirmation this week, will use THIS Sunday as a “Spring Training” day for teams/players wanting to get some reps.. let us know if you’d be interested!
- Schedule will be released Wednesday or Thursday night- will be posted on website, coaches’ chats and this page

Thank you to all who came down and supported a good cause yesterday! The Kevin Ivy McLeod Tournament was a great success, and we’ll be able to donate to Mary’s Dogs with the proceeds. Grateful to everyone who came down and played hard, but clean softball- exactly how Kevin would’ve wanted it. Special thanks to Robert Modoono and Evan Gard… None of it would have been possible without you 2. Below- a pic of the champions, team Slumpbusters!

If anyone was looking to get some reps for tomorrow, Team Asylum could use one more for their squad! Also- for all players in the Kevin Ivy McLeod Tournament, please try to carpool/Uber if possible. There is a Farmers Market going on in the common next to the field from 9-12, so we expect a lot of spots to be used for that. Looking forward to a fun day!

IMPORTANT note for tomorrow:
Please show up at least 20 minutes before your first game, and carpool/prepare for limited parking at Vets as there is a Farmers Market taking place on the other side of the parking lot until 1. Feel free to check it out while you’re down there, lots of great things to buy!

10 AM: Slumpbusters vs Asylum
11 AM: Slumpbusters vs Camo Crew
12 PM: Skeleton Crew vs Asylum
1 PM: Slumpbusters vs Skeleton Crew
2 PM: Camo Crew vs Asylum
3 PM: Best 2 records compete in a 1 game championship

Since we have less teams, we’ll give the pitcher and hitter more leeway with a 2-1 count: no foul to waste. There will be a pitch mat, with plate and mat being a strike. Wood bats with USA stamp only. Coffee/donuts will be down there to start, with pizzas being delivered between 12 & 1 for lunch. Thank you all for donating and coming down to support a great cause- my uncle would be humbled to know his legacy is still living on down here!

Thank you to all the teams who have signed up for the Kevin Ivy McLeod tournament! We will start at 9 AM at Veterans Field on Saturday. It’ll be a 3 game group play format, with the best 2 records at the end competing in a 1 game championship for the trophy. There’ll be lunch and coffee/donuts provided, and all proceeds will go to Mary’s Dogs. We are asking all teams to send their $300 donation/entry fee on Venmo to so we can release the bracket tomorrow. Looking forward to a great day of softball in honor of a great man- especially with the great weather expected! ❤️

Hey guys, still looking for one more team for the Kevin Ivy McLeod tournament! We have a few free agents looking for teams as well, if we get enough others we’ll create a free agent team. The team who signs up, or outside free agents will have first dibs on getting in the league for the 2026 season! Format is a 3 game guarantee, $25 to sign up as a free agent, $300 to sign up as a team. Lunch will be provided, games begin at 9 AM at Vets Field or Mullin Field. We will do the tournament with 5 teams if needed, but obviously the bracket is much cleaner with 6. All proceeds will go to charity, either Mary’s Dogs or the American Heart Association.
