We have a lot of guests utilizing the new technology in forward facing sonar, “Livescope”, while ice fishing. Definitely have heard some frustrations in the fish not coming in. This explains it very well. We see and hear about this on the open water in summer. The strength of the sonar beam is keeping the fish away from where you are.
Keep that in mind as you chase the fish this winter.

Got chilled on the dock. Moved to the hot tub. Beautiful 360° display of Aurora.
Agency Bay has been trying to freeze over for quite some time. The wind has been relentless. Finally, last night, the wind settled down and the temperature dropped to single digits. The bay locked up completely, signaling the start of the 2020-2021 ice fishing season.
