Fun day on Leech Lake with Kevin and Mike! The fish were a little fussier for us today but some bigger fish were caught and one shy of their limit was taken home for a fish fry! When the fish get in a mood like this I like to try different baits, but just stay with them as they will eat sooner or later!

Always a blast getting kids out fishing! Crew and Cam joined me again and caught some nice walleyes and was able to get my youngest boy Chael out for a couple of hours and catch some as well!

Most people that book with me usually go for walleye or musky and for good reason. I do offer mixed bag trips as well which are usually fairly high in action. The big perch start filtering in the shallows during August and really peak into September and October.

This was a fun trip from last week. Patience paid off on this one as the first half of the trip was extremely slow but salvaged the day with some nice fish on the last half of the trip.

A few more fun trips from this season. The last couple weeks the walleyes have been a little challenging with the heat and abundant bait in the lake. Jigs or bobbers are still producing nice catches. Keep moving and make lots of casts to locate the active fish.
