Level 5 unlocked! Join us for an Open Mat this Saturday at 10am to celebrate 5 years of hard work, great memories, and the best community around.

The mat teaches our kids more than just Jiu Jiu. It teaches them:

⭐️How to fail and show up again tomorrow.
⭐️How to lose and still shake hands.
⭐️How to be strong and still be kind.
⭐️How to protect themselves and de-escalate situations without violence.
⭐️ How to help someone who is less knowledgeable.

The goal is to help build good humans, not just good grapplers (even though they are)!
Special shout out to the Madhouse parents - you guys are awesome 👏 thanks for making this video!

Congratulations to everyone who competed this weekend at the IBJJF Pan No Gi Championships!

The team competed against some of the best in the sport and came home with 2 Silver Medals
🥈🥈

Nothing is guaranteed. The only thing we can control is how we prepare and how we respond to adversity. I am proud of everyone’s efforts and for getting out there representing team Madhouse. Everyone left this weekend wanting more and as a Coach there’s no better feeling than a group of inspired teammates. We keep moving forward 💪

Huge thank you to the entire Madhouse team. From the new white belt to the older colored belt, you all served a purpose in everyone’s preparation for this tournament. This team is special we are beyond blessed and grateful.

What’s next? The IBJJF Fall New Jersey Open on November 21-22nd. Let’s get after it! ⚔️

Proud of everyone on this roster. This takes a certain commitment and sacrifice that most will never understand. Good luck to all competing 🫡

There is about 11 year between these pictures! Meghan started training at 5 years old and I’m lucky to still have her as my student. I’ve got to coach and watch her work up to and compete at every juvenile belt level. From coaching her as a little kid we now get to see her grow in her own kids coaching role and we couldn’t be more proud of her for leading by example. I can’t wait to see everything she accomplishes in this new chapter in her Jiu Jitsu journey. Congratulations Meghan O’Hare we are all so proud of you! 🟦🟦⬛️🟦

Today marks 25 years since the tragic events of September 11, 2001. We pause to honor every innocent life lost and hold their families in our hearts. On a day that we will never forget we remember the bravery of our first responders—the firefighters, police officers, medics, and citizens who ran toward danger to save others. We do not forget the survivors and responders who are still fighting today. 25 years later, so many continue to battle severe illnesses and mental health struggles born from that day. We will never forget. God Bless America 🇺🇸

Great effort from both the toddlers and kids classes today. We had a lot of fun practicing our takedowns, body locks 🔒 and securing our positions. Well done everyone! 🦾

Today marks exactly 1 year since Madhouse moved and opened the new academy! We are beyond grateful to all of our members and supporters and to all of the new people we have met throughout this year. Even though we are looking forward to what this next year will bring, we can’t not acknowledge that it was one of our most difficult years yet. Earlier this year we lost a dear friend and teammate, Dan Goetz. It’s extremely important to us to remember his name and everything he meant to us as friends and part of the team. In honor of Dan, go out of your way this month to make someone laugh and smile.
We miss you Dan 🖤
