We are incredibly proud of each of these athletes for their entire HYROX race season. Capped off by racing on the World stage in Sweden, showing up for each other all weekend, and creating memories. This weekend was fulfilling in more ways than one. Huge congratulations to Joe, AJ, Kelly, Josh, Sam, Shabo, Krissy, Pat, Linda, Andrew, and Shari.

Meet the Podium Chasers 👋🏼
Episode 7:
Year 2 - Podium Chaser Dawgs

Meet Sam, a 29-year-old Doctor of Physical Therapy who brings the same energy to DEKA and HYROX racing that she brings to life. Fueled by her mantra, “I can do hard things” (literally tattooed on her wrist) she thrives on pushing through challenges while keeping perspective and gratitude at the center of her training.

When she’s not racing, you’ll find her perfecting sourdough recipes, walking her dog, or unwinding poolside with a good book. Just don’t expect her to catch your Star Wars or Lord of the Rings references; she'd rather be riding dragons alongside Violet Sorrengail than sitting through a movie.

Whether she's helping patients recover, or tackling a tough training session, Sam approaches everything with determination, curiosity, and a sense of adventure (and an infections smile). Her ability to embrace hard things while finding joy in the process is what makes her such a strong competitor and an even better teammate.
