HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to Iconic fencers Noah, Natalia, and Matt at the CT Individual State Championships today!!!
Noah finished 5th and Matt finished 6th in the Men’s Foil event, and Natalia finished 3rd in Women’s Foil!!
All IFC competitors fenced their hearts out today and we are eternally proud of all of you

Additionally, congrats to the North Haven Men’s Foil Team for their second place finish at team states as well!!!
Ben, Gavin, Haram, and Ope have all worked hard to achieve this phenomenal finish!

And the awards keep coming! On Saturday, the Cheshire Women’s Foil Team took second in state!!!
Iconic fencers Areeba, Elisa, and Natalia (with a CLUTCH win in semifinals to clinch the match) fenced their hearts out and claimed a nice trophy to celebrate!

IFC had a DAY at the Central Connecticut Conference Fencing Championships!!!
26 fencers, 11 All-Conference, 5 Academic All-Conference, and 3 Podium finishes!!!

Tournament Alert!
IFC will be hosting its very first tournament on 12/20!!!
With Open Men’s and Women’s events in Foil and Epee, we hope to see you there!

As many of you know, our very own Chris Balestracci is competing at World Veteran Championships in Bahrain this weekend!!

To finish out our Summer Intensive posts, congrats to our end of camp tournament champions!
Bacon Academy’s Colton, Oliver, and Jordan swept the podium in epee, and our very own Chayse, Noah, and Ben dominated foil!

An official congratulations to Chris Balestracci for his performance at the 2025 Summer Nationals!
Chris becomes a National Champion 🥇, earned his A25, and qualified for the Vet 60 Men’s Foil World Team, sitting atop the national points list!
Chris is a testament to the phrase “hard work pays off” and we could not be more proud of him!!!

And last but not least, congrats to Victoria at the SITS D & Under Event in Willimantic! Victoria took 3rd 🥉 in the event, earning her E25!!!

The Men’s Foil team (with Coach Jacob!) blazed their way to first 🏆at the NEIFC Championships at Mount Holyoke!!! The boys stepped up big time to take over strong teams on the day, and earned the glory they received!
