Gosh im so proud of this boy. He goes hoke Saturday! Nearly 30 rides and 30 days of ground work. I dont usually do that much ground work. But he really needed to slow his mind down. He has come SOOOO far. Im so happy!!

This is Nakoma. I had her last year for halter breaking and this year for more ground work like saddling trailer loading ponying etc. When I say it matters how and who you have start your horses, IT MATTERS. This filly remembered EVERYTHING its been over a year since I've messed with her and her owner didnt do a whole bunch in between.

This filly is HIGHLY intelligent and incredibly willing now. This was the first time leading by her feet and having something drag off of her like that. No spook bolt or buck no giant freak out, nothing. She handled everything so well. I am so ecstatic about this filly! It completely and totally matters how you start your horses and even the babies!

Got Pistol boy down the trail today at Hulston Mills and he did fantastic. He even ponied another trainer named Black Jack! Pistol was a sale barn horse and his owners wanted to make sure he was safe, so here we are almost 60 days later and he is going to be such a good horse. Once we figured him out got proper shoes etc. He is sound and able to ride!

Went to a new trail today and took Lucky out for his first outside of the round pen ride. He did perfect! About 5 miles open and in the woods. In the back front middle he didnt bat an eye. Super proud of him!

Pistol! Hes been fun. He came from the sale barn a couple months ago and his owners wanted to make sure he was safe. When he first came he wouldnt stand still he bucked was super hot headed. Now we have gotten to the point he is safe enough to handle down a trail and has completely turned a new leaf in behavior. He balks a little here and there. But more trails and exposure will take care of that!

Lightning has been here 30 days. He came with a massive head tossing problem and hadn't been ridden in a years. Switched him to a rope bosal and worked on getting him out of tossing. Was riding with a tie down and bit last time he was rode 5 years agom now rides slow calm and happy in a bosal!

Could not have asked for a better first ride on Lucky. Love when everything comes together and there is funny business.

Bob's drunk.

Exposure and miles is the only thing to get a horse broke. Simply riding in a arena doesnt do what some wet saddle pads and a mud puddle can do in the outdoors!
