After 15 years as an assistant coach—6 of those alongside one of the best to ever do it, Coach Khouzam—I’m humbled and proud to step into the role of Head Varsity Coach for the first time.

Coach Khouzam, thank you for being more than just a mentor—you’ve been a true brother. Your leadership, loyalty, and belief in me have shaped the coach and person I am today. I’ll carry that forward every day.

Can’t believe it’s been 4 years! Thank you to our seniors for making every season unforgettable—your leadership, heart, and dedication left a mark on and off the court. I’ve learned so much from each of you. Wishing you nothing but success in your next chapters. Once a Mustang, always a Mustang.

After 11 incredible years, I’m announcing my resignation as Head Boys Basketball Coach at Walnut High School. This decision was not made lightly, but I believe it’s time for a new chapter.
Looking back, I’m filled with pride and gratitude for everything we’ve accomplished together. From 2015 to now, we’ve built a program that consistently competed at the highest levels. Here are just a few highlights:
Overall Record: 232-85 (Most wins in school history as a coach)
Nine 20-win Seasons
Made CIF every season.
Five D1 & D2 Quarterfinals (most in school history)
2022-2023: 28-3 best record in school history
2022-23 1st time a walnut basketball team has been ranked in the LA times top 25
Thank You to the unwavering support of the parents, and the incredible backing of the Walnut High School community. Your belief in our program has meant the world to me. I will forever cherish the memories and relationships forged during my time at Walnut.
To all of my assistants, I will forever be grateful for all of the extra hours you poured into this program. All of the accolades are OURS as a group. I will miss our time preparing for practice & games as a unit and everyone’s competitive spirit in games.
To the players, past and present, you’ve given me more than wins; you’ve given me lifelong lessons and we are a family. I’m incredibly proud of the men you’ve become.
