π FALL IS THE PERFECT TIME TO GET OUTSIDE! π
Cooler temperatures, changing leaves, and crisp fall air make this one of the best times of year to take your training outdoors!
Not every workout needs to leave you exhausted. Sometimes, one of the best things you can do for your health and fitness is simply get outside and MOVE.
GO FOR A WALK
Walking is one of the most underrated forms of exercise. It's low impact, supports cardiovascular health, helps manage stress, and is an easy way to increase your daily activity without adding significant fatigue.
BUILD YOUR AEROBIC BASE WITH ZONE 2 RUNNING
Slow down and enjoy the scenery!
Zone 2 training helps develop your aerobic system, improve endurance, and build your ability to sustain activity over longer periods.
The key? Keep the intensity conversational. You should be able to speak in full sentences without gasping for air.
HIT THE TRAILS
Take advantage of the fall foliage! Hiking adds variety to your routine, challenges your legs on uneven terrain, and gets you away from screens for a little while.
DON'T UNDERESTIMATE THE BENEFITS OF BEING OUTDOORS
Getting outside can help:
β
Improve your mood and reduce stress
β
Support better sleep
β
Build cardiovascular fitness
β
Increase daily movement
β
Give your mind a break from your usual routine
YOUR CHALLENGE THIS WEEK:
Get outside for at least 30 minutes of intentional movement on three separate days.
Walk, hike, jog, or take the dog out for an extra-long stroll. It doesn't have to be complicated!
Remember: Not every workout needs to be high intensity to be effective. Consistency and aerobic movement are essential pieces of long-term health and performance.
Get outside, enjoy the fall weather, and keep moving!
