Winnie has a rare neurodevelopmental disorder that mainly affects girls, but boys can have it too. Winnie’s MECP2 gene is missing variants, resulting in Rett syndrome.
The scary part is, we don’t know what the future holds for Winnie.
Thankfully Winnie is doing WONDERFUL right now! Talking, running, playing, enjoying every single dirt track race she can watch, and just absolutely having the time of her life!
Winnie is a ray of sunshine with a whole lot of sass! I can’t imagine her any other way.
