Congratulations to Houston County Wrestlers Sophie Brown and Chase Downing on their performances at Freestyle and Greco State championships! Both will represent Team Georgia Wrestling this summer for freestyle and Greco National Duals. Sophie will also Represent Georgia at The Fargo National freestyle championships as well. Chase also secured the Triple Crown for winning the state championship in all 3 Wrestling Disciplines.
Keep up the great work and keep pushing to get better everyday!

The Bears found a way and never quit defeating a talented Woodward team 8-7 to win the series. This is 4 out of the last 5 season in the Elite 8. The Bears will face Pope for the 6th time in the last 9 postseasons. Game one tentatively set for 4:30 Friday #4 more

The 2026-2027 HOCO Wrestling Spring Interest meeting is Tuesday May 12th at 6:30pm in the Houston County High School cafeteria. All Boys and Girls who will be in Grades 8-12 next school year that will be attending Houston County High School or rising 8th graders who are Zoned for Houston County High School should attend.
