A big thank you to Chuck Richards for letting me borrow a FreeBird Knife through the Pass the FreeBird program. I talked about this knife when I first received it, but I wanted to wait until I had real time using it before giving my thoughts. Sorry it’s taken over a month to get this feedback out. Shortly after receiving it, Winston had an injury that required a lot of rest and recovery time, so we weren’t getting out on our usual outdoor adventures. Thankfully, he’s doing much better now. I have some videos coming soon, but I felt this deserved a dedicated shout-out. This is one of those products that’s hard to fully appreciate through a video. It’s a lot like a fishing rod—until you actually hold it, use it, and experience it for yourself, you really don’t understand what makes it special. After spending time with this knife, I’ll admit I’m impressed. In fact, I’ll be purchasing one for myself. Would I have ordered one before handling it? Probably not. But after using it, my opinion completely changed. The edge retention alone makes this knife worth serious consideration. If you’ve ever gotten tired of constantly sharpening knives, you’ll appreciate what this thing can do. The idea of having a knife that may rarely, if ever, need sharpening is pretty incredible. This isn’t some gimmicky TV-ad product. It’s a serious, high-quality knife built for real-world use—whether that’s everyday carry, outdoor adventures, hunting, fishing, or even working around the house.
