🐉🏆 WHAT. A. DAY! 🏆🐉

What an incredible day for Century Dragon Boat Club and our two teams, Thunder ⚡ and Lightning ⚡!

💥 THUNDER came out flying, taking 1st place in their first TWO races and bringing home some well-earned 🍺! Talk about starting the day strong! Proudly displayed those second place medals in the goat division! 🐐

⚡ LIGHTNING finished 6th overall and, with that finish, moved up to 3rd in the Lion Division! What an amazing accomplishment for this crew. 👏🔥

Both teams showed up, trusted the race plans, worked together, and gave it everything they had. We couldn't be prouder of this team and everything they accomplished on the water! ❤️🐉

A huge THANK YOU to Blackstone Valley Tourism for putting on such an amazing event and creating such a fun day for the dragon boat community!

And thank you 22Dragons USA for running the races and keeping everything moving smoothly. 🐉

🐉🥁 THE DRAGONS ARE COMING TO PAWTUCKET! 🥁🐉

Get ready for an exciting day on the river! On Saturday, September 5, 2026, dragon boat teams will take over Pawtucket for a day of fast-paced racing, teamwork, and let's not forget the music, dumplings, entertainment and LOTS of energy! 🌊🔥

One week from today!

🌧️🏆 Springfield Dragon Boat Festival 2026

Mother Nature definitely had her own race plan yesterday, but our crew showed what Century Dragon Boat Club is all about—determination, teamwork, and heart.

Although the weather prevented us from competing in Race 3, we made the most of our second race of the season, gaining valuable experience and making memories along the way.

Yesterday was a day filled with firsts:
🚣 Three members competed in their very first dragon boat race.
🥁 Congratulations to Chris K., who confidently took on the role of starter for the very first time.
💙 Several teammates also got their first opportunity to race this season.

These milestones are what make our team special. Every experienced paddler was once a beginner, and every "first" is the start of something bigger. Watching our members step into new roles, challenge themselves, and support one another is what Century is all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who raced, volunteered, and cheered us on despite the less-than-ideal weather. We may not have finished every race on the schedule, but we left Springfield stronger than we arrived.

On to the next one! 🚣💙
