A little piece of golf history. ⛳️

Throwing it back with these vintage custom Sharron Moran golf balls.

Long before today’s golf ball technology, personalization was already part of the game.

Has anyone seen these in real life?

This one is personal…
Golf is in my blood. ⛳️❤️

My mom won her third Ann Arbor Women’s Golf Championship while 6½ months pregnant with me, shooting a final-round 75 and winning by 11 strokes.

I guess I was born into the game?🏌️‍♀️

Headed out to schedule a bunch of lessons 😅…

Same stroke. Different distance. ⛳️

Rimac Golf President Richard Platt explains why lower-compression golf balls can travel farther when putting and chipping, and why compression matters.

does golf ball compression have an impact on putting and chipping?
Listen to what Rimac Golf President,
Richard Platt says… 👆🏻🤔

35 feet. Two golf balls.

Two VERY different bounces. ⛳️

🟡 Callaway Supersoft: 42 compression 🟡
⚪ TaylorMade TP5x: 91 compression ⚪️

We’re taking our golf ball bounce test to new heights, literally!

Both balls were dropped from 35 feet, but the results tell two very different stories.

The lower-compression Supersoft bounced higher, while the higher-compression TP5x had a noticeably lower rebound.

Same drop height. Different compression. Different bounce.

If compression makes this much of a difference in how a ball rebounds off a hard surface, what could that mean for ball speed off your putter face? 👀 🤔

Know your compression. Know your Rimac Number.

Rimac Golf Ball Drop Series, Continued…

This time, 21 feet. ⛳️

🟡 Callaway Supersoft: 42 compression
⚪ Titleist Pro V1x: 98 compression

Same two golf balls.
This time, dropped from 25.5 feet. ⛳️

🟡 Callaway Supersoft: 42 compression
⚪ Titleist Pro V1x: 98 compression

Different Rimac Numbers. Different ball speeds.

How much do you think that difference matters on a fast green? 👀

10/19/2026

Two golf balls dropped from 15 feet. Golf ball compression reveals different ball drop results. ⛳️

At Rimac Golf HQ, Product Line Director Booth Platt put golf ball compression to the test.

🟡 Callaway Supersoft: 42 compression

⚪ Titleist Pro V1x: 98 compression

The lower-compression SuperSoft bounced higher, demonstrating a clear difference in smash factor, or how quickly the golf ball comes off the surface after impact.

But here’s the bigger question: If high- and low-compression golf balls rebound this differently, how differently might they perform on the green? 👀

Know your compression. Know your Rimac number.

Which golf balls fall within the 75–85 compression range? ⛳️

We tested 12 balls from each model using the Rimac Golf compression tester. Here are 10 models with measured compression ranges that overlap 75–85:

• Titleist AVX: 76–83
• Titleist Tour Soft: 82–87
• Callaway Chrome Soft: 70–78
• Callaway ERC Soft: 72–79
• Srixon Z-Star: 72–80
• Bridgestone Tour B RX: 77–85
• Bridgestone Tour B RXS: 75–83
• Maxfli Tour S: 75–81
• Maxfli Revolution: 73–81
• Vice Pro: 77–83

Not every ball measured between 75 and 85, but every model had at least one ball within that range.

Which model would you choose?

Is your golf simulator measuring spin accurately? ⛳

We recently came across this Titleist Pro V1 RCT at PGA TOUR Superstore and learned why the golf ball you use indoors matters. 🤔

RCT stands for Radar Capture Technology, developed by Titleist to improve spin measurement on radar-based launch monitors like TrackMan.

What makes it different?

🎯 More accurate spin data: An embedded radar-reflective marker helps compatible launch monitors measure actual spin rather than estimate it.

📊 Over 99% spin capture: According to Titleist, RCT technology allows radar-based systems to capture spin data on more than 99% of indoor shots.

⛳ Same Pro V1 performance: The RCT model is engineered to deliver the same playing characteristics as a traditional Pro V1, with technology designed specifically for indoor radar tracking.

At Rimac Golf, we’re interested in the compression numbers behind golf ball performance. We also found it interesting to learn that radar-based simulators need an RCT model golf ball for accurate performance results.

when you’re testing golf balls, the quality of your data matters.

Did you know there were golf balls designed specifically for indoor launch monitors?
