This is what happens when you're retired...
The wife told me I needed to fix the downspout in the front of the house...I called a buddy, who's also retired for help. He brought over his welder and between us and a case of beer we "got her done"...I think it looks great..the wife is still not talking to me...

Someone recently asked about purchasing a home with a stucco exterior finish. This was my response.
You don't need to avoid all stucco homes when shopping. Just some of them. Traditional masonry is a good product and has been used for hundreds of years. I once owned a home with this stucco and loved it. However, there is another type of stucco that I would avoid at all cost. That is the synthetic thin coat stucco, aka EIFS, that is a modern problematic finish that I would not recommend. In my practice as an Architect I do not specify the modern, thin, synthetic stucco. I do specify and recommend the traditional masonry stucco.
