Doesn’t matter the lift or load, your goal should always be to control the movement. Some people refer to it as “owning the movement”. Whatever you call it, do it right.
Get the basics down to where you can’t mess them up THEN progress.
When you only know how to do something correctly, that’s the time to load it 💪💪💪

What do you think 👇👇👇
what makes an exercise better?
Is it because it is more difficult?
What about if it is more functional?
Is it better because it’s safer?
What about if it’s a new exercise?
Although all of these individually can be considered “better”, what really matters is how it works for the client.
that’s where personal training comes in. One on one approach to Fitness is a highly individualized and personalized approach to a workout program. Some people do need a difficult program. While it’s true, it should all be safe, a person coming off of an injury might need to focus on control, stability, and safety.
If you’re getting ready to start up a new workout program, contact Prototype Fitness and learn more about personal training for what you need and NOT what the Internet says you need.

And that’s be afraid of the things that are difficult.
It’s those difficult things we encounter that can make us better. Both physically and mentally when you go face to face with adversity, you improve.
Physically: you achieve a new level of ability and strength.
Mentally: you achieve a new level of resilience and discipline.
Reaching a new level in both make it easier for you to face difficult situations in the future.
So don’t shy away from from the hard things.

Strength is more than how much weight you lift….
It’s also about how much difficulty and resistance you can take on and keep going. How much you can go up against and not give up!
Great job to this Prototyper for getting on the leg press even though she’s not a fan…
And then put on more weight 💪💪💪
