We planted lettuce for our staff members while talking about how growth isn’t just for plants—it’s for us too. Just like our lettuce needs care, patience, and the right environment, we are growing into leaders who can support and help others.

So neat to see our lettuce thriving—and even more exciting to see these young leaders doing the same! 💜

Our intermediate classes kicked off the year by working on cooperative skills and communication through a crazy card challenge and some high-energy hula hut relays!

**MULTIPLE DAYS OF DANGEROUS COLD NEXT WEEK**

Yesterday I posted Monday's future feel-like temperatures but Tuesday is looking even colder as the arctic air is settles in more. Remember: most schools and government offices are closed Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. That is not the case for Tuesday, so plan accordingly. I see a lot of school administrators paying close attention to this forecast.

Our Neighbors Serving Neighbors series continues with another inspiring tale of kindness

Last month, our HR and Community & Economic Development departments teamed up along with Mayor Grose to collect and donate items to the Shamrock Shop at Harrison Elementary School. The Shamrock Shop provides essentials like clothing, shoes, toiletries, and more to students in need. Since its inception, the shop has helped hundreds of children, ensuring they have access to basic necessities many of us take for granted and making a meaningful difference in the lives of local students and families.
