Providing care for another person leaves caregivers vulnerable to burnout, that feeling of mental, emotional, and physical exhaustion from having too much on your plate for a long period of time. For caregivers, it’s easy to become so focused on caring for their loved one that they overlook their own needs. The symptoms caused by caregiving are so real that some medical professionals are beginning to suggest that it should be treated as its own diagnosis.

To learn more about burnout, particularly related to the caregiver experience, we invite you and the caregivers in your life to join us on Wednesday, May 27 at 6 p.m. to hear Michelle Campbell, MA, LMFT, as she leads a compassionate, caregiver-focused session on Caring for the Caregiver.

You will leave the presentation knowing more about:

What burnout looks like
Actionable ways you can prevent burnout
How to ease burnout if you've already reached the boiling point
Self-care strategies to sooth your mind, body, and spirit
This session is open to all caregivers, not just those caring for someone with cancer.
